On Sunday, the best player in the world, who is 27 years old, won the first major tournament of the year. He won by four strokes ahead of the other players, with Swedish player Ludvig Åberg being the closest to him. This win confirmed his position as the top player in the world.

People have been comparing Scheffler's latest performances to that of Tiger Woods during his prime, but Scheffler himself declares that he doesn't bother about his status and is just focused on enjoying his life both on and off the golf course.

"I don't really ponder about those sorts of things, I am just myself, I am not attempting to imitate anyone or take any wild actions," Scheffler conveyed to Sky Sports News. "My goal is to simply become the best version of myself and that's where my concentration lies."

It's up to you guys to determine all of that when my profession is complete, however, in the end, I'm simply aiming to partake in contests, enjoy myself, and move on to other aspects of my life aside from the field.

Today is one of those great days where I am really enjoying myself. But sometimes, it's not so enjoyable. Life has its highs and lows, and golf can be especially difficult at times. That's why I am working on appreciating the good moments when they happen."

I can't wait to reach home and relish this victory with my spouse, buddies, and kin, and later resuming work next week.

Scheffler, who won his first Masters title two years ago, went back to Augusta National last week after winning both the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players Championship. He is the first player ever to win golf's informal "fifth major" two years in a row. In his previous three starts, he came in second place in the Texas Children's Houston Open.

The top-ranked golfer in the world, who has maintained this position in the Official World Golf Ranking for over 80 weeks throughout his career, didn't think it gave him any special benefits over his competition. Nonetheless, he was pleased to meet people's anticipations by winning the game.

Scheffler expressed that being in this position comes with its own set of stress. The inquiries from the press are distinct, however, when we begin on the first hole, we all commence as equals with a score of par.

My recent strong performance was not a result of having an advantage or edge from the beginning.

I feel quite content knowing that I was able to showcase my skills here, especially when there was so much pressure from external sources. Despite the high expectations that were set, I managed to ignore them and have a pleasant week.

After winning The Masters in 2022, Scheffler acknowledged that he had doubts about being a major champion. However, this time around, as he approached the tee for his final round, he felt a contrasting sensation.

Scheffler was anxious to finish the job at hand and secure another green jacket, but his close friends gave him some wise advice to help him get into the right mindset.

Scheffler stated that two years ago, they were uncertain if they were prepared for the direction their life was heading. The pace of events was quick and caused apprehension.

At the beginning of that year, I hadn't secured a victory on the tour. However, everything changed abruptly as I had become the Number 1 player in the world. I was determined to win my first major title with a lead of three shots. And it wasn't just any tournament, it was The Masters. All of those emotions were overwhelming me, and I wasn't sure if I was prepared for such a significant lifestyle shift.

I felt more nervous this time because winning was extremely important to me. I was talking with my friends in the morning and expressed that I wished I wasn't so focused on winning because it would make things easier.

"They spoke honestly to me and I left this place to try and establish a stable life."
