In London today, there was quite a commotion as five horses belonging to the military became frightened by some loud sounds coming from a construction area. This happened while they were out for their normal training exercises near the famous Buckingham Palace. Due to their fear, the horses ran off quickly and ended up throwing off four of their riders. They then continued to roam around London's busy downtown streets, causing disruptions and even colliding with some vehicles during the morning rush hour.

A disturbance occurred when the Household Cavalry's horses were participating in an extended practice for a forthcoming military display, and may have been startled by the noise of concrete falling from a moving pedestrian walkway at a construction site in Belgravia, an upscale district situated just west of the palace.

On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, a white horse was seen running wildly through the streets of London near Aldwych. The horse galloped with great speed, as if it was trying to escape something. The incident was captured in a photo by Jordan Pettitt and shared by the Press Association.

Out of the total seven horses, only two managed to stay put while the other five galloped away uncontrollably. As a result, four courageous soldiers got knocked off their horses. Unfortunately, three of them ended up in the hospital with injuries. Thankfully, none of their injuries were severe enough to put them in life-threatening danger.

The horses scampered through the bustling streets of central London without their riders. They caused a commotion as they collided with automobiles, causing surprise among commuters en route to work. However, the horses were soon captured, and they are currently being examined by medical professionals at the barracks in Hyde Park.

Onlookers observed that one of the uncontrolled creatures collided with a taxi that was idling outside the Clermont Hotel, resulting in shattered windows. A second animal also collided with a sightseeing bus and caused damage to the windshield.

Images and clips that have been widely circulated on social media depict two horses, one black and one white, galloping at a rapid pace through Aldwych. This location is situated amidst London's historical financial hub and the bustling theater district of West End.

Blood was covering the face and legs of the white horse. An individual speaking on behalf of the British Army could not verify the reason behind the wound.

While heading to her job, Megan Morra spotted an impactful sight of a white horse sustaining a head injury, as reported to the BBC.

She reported that there was a significant amount of blood and expressed feeling quite upset upon seeing the injured horse.

The equines hail from the Household Cavalry, which pertains to the official regiment of the monarch, and is an integral part of state ceremonies in London.

It was not immediately clear how severe the injuries were for the horses.

On a video released on X, previously known as Twitter, Matt Woodward, leader of the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment, revealed that approximately 150 horses undergo exercises every morning on parks and streets. The purpose is to keep them healthy and acclimatized to the environment and noise, reducing the likelihood of them getting frightened during parades.

Earlier today, a few ponies got startled by some building activities on a less busy street in Belgravia. The construction team accidentally dropped materials from a high location, frightening the horses who were nearby.

Fortunately, this kind of occurrence is exceedingly uncommon, given the amount of workout and quantity of equines implicated, as stated by Woodward. He expressed gratitude to the rapid action taken by the emergency responders and citizens.

He mentioned that it made it possible for the soldiers to receive quick treatment and for the wounded horses to be rescued.

The London Ambulance Service reported that they provided medical attention to four individuals involved in three different incidents within just 10 minutes after the occurrence occurred at approximately 8:30 in the morning.
