Scottie Scheffler sent a message to his competitors that he is fully focused on the game, following his recent win of his second Masters title within a three-year period.

In Augusta National, Scheffler played a final round of 68. He finished four shots ahead of Sweden's Ludvig Aberg. This win marks his third victory in the last four events, and he finished second in the other event.

The top-ranked player in the world is eager to return home quickly to be with his expecting wife Meredith as they await the arrival of their first child. However, he also plans to continue competing for major titles in the sport.

Scheffler expressed his eagerness to return home and promised to be back as soon as possible when asked if he had a message for his beloved wife. Although he wanted to savor the moment a little longer, his main priority was to be with his partner. This is a remarkable moment for them both.

It's hard to express how much winning this tournament again means to me, and it's even harder to put into words how being a first-time father will feel. Witnessing the birth of my child will be a source of immense joy and my priorities will shift, so golf will not be on top of my list anymore. However, I still have a passion for competing.

I have no intention of losing focus anytime soon.

Aberg was close to making history as the first player to win the Masters tournament on their first attempt since 1979. He was leading by a few strokes after achieving a birdie on the ninth hole. Unfortunately, his luck turned sour on the eleventh hole, where he hit his approach shot too hard and it landed in the water, causing Aberg to earn a double bogey.

The player who is 24 years old reacted really well and achieved a birdie on the 13th and 14th holes to maintain the challenge. However, Scheffler also scored shots on those exact same holes.

"I believe we did a lot of things right this week, especially today. I was quite nervous when I came out due to my limited experience as a professional, having only been one for 10 months," Aberg stated.

I felt a slight trembling sensation when I stepped up to the first tee. However, I derive great pleasure from performing such activities. We expressed gratitude for the opportunity to execute various shots and for being in this advantageous position.

It was quite apparent that we were well aware of the inconvenient result of hitting the ball into the water while playing on the 11th hole. Nonetheless, we sustained our game, steadfast in our efforts to persevere in challenging situations. My caddie Joe [Skovron], our team, and I have tirelessly worked towards this objective. We did not let the setback affect our focus, and this exhibited our commitment to our strategy. Ultimately, it was a decent outcome despite the obstacle we faced.

This indicates that we are accomplishing many positive things, and without a doubt, achieving high rankings in the Masters is something that is very important to me. The chance to compete in this tournament has been an exceptional opportunity, and I am extremely pleased with my own performance as well as that of my team. I think we are all doing remarkable work.
