Jacks is likely to be chosen as one of the 15 players in England's temporary T20 World Cup team, which will be announced on Tuesday. He achieved his first ever century in the IPL, taking only 41 balls, while leading Bengaluru in their successful pursuit of Gujarat's 200-3. The team completed the task with 24 balls to spare within the allocated 20 overs.

The batsman Virat Kohli gave his support to the all-rounder from England, and together they managed to create a strong partnership for the second wicket. They were unbeaten, and their partnership was worth a total of 166 runs. Thanks to their efforts, Bengaluru was able to post a formidable total of 206-1 in the span of just 16 overs.

Bengaluru, who are currently in tenth place, needed to chase a big score to have a chance of making it to the knockout stage. They got off to a fast start thanks to Kohli and his opening partner Faf du Plessis, who scored 24 runs in 40 balls. This was important if they wanted to remain in the running for a spot in the next round of the competition.

In the fourth over, Du Plessis was dismissed after hitting a shot that was caught by Sai Kishore, who is a left-arm spinner and claimed the Titans' sole wicket of the match. Following this, it was Jacks and Kohli who took control of the game.

The Indian batsman achieved fifty runs in 32 balls, marking it as his fourth half-century in the IPL this year. Additionally, he surpassed the milestone of scoring 500 runs this season.

In the 15th over, Jacks became the front-runner and hit Mohit Sharma for 29 runs, which helped him reach his half-century in just 31 balls. Following this, he continued to crush the ball and hit 10 sixes and five boundaries, which added another 50 runs to his tally in only 10 balls.

Jacks hit 29 runs off Rashid Khan's (0-51) 16th over when Bengaluru required 53 runs off 36 balls, but they triumphantly completed the run chase in only 12 balls.

Before, Sai Sudharsan played an important role in saving the hosts by scoring 84 runs, as they were in trouble at 45-2. The opener, Wriddhiman Saha, got dismissed for five runs by left-arm spinner Swapnil Singh (1-23), and Glenn Maxwell (1-28) took out Shubman Gill (16).

Afterwards, Sudharsan paired up with Shahrukh Khan to build an impressive 86-run partnership in just 45 balls for the third wicket. Shahrukh Khan achieved his first half-century in the IPL during this match.

Sudharsan scored 50 runs in 34 balls and later collaborated with David Miller (26no) to add 69 runs in the final six overs.

After playing 10 games, Gujarat Titans remain in the seventh position with only four victories. On the other hand, Bengaluru holds the 10th spot with three wins out of 10 games.

Jacks is the third England player in the IPL season to score 100 or more runs. Jos Buttler from Rajasthan Royals has scored two centuries, and Jonny Bairstow, who has had a difficult season, achieved a score of 108 not out while playing for Punjab Kings last Friday.
