According to the organisers, the London Marathon has established a new global record for the largest single-day charity event.

Over £67 million was collected as more than 53,000 individuals participated in the 26.2-mile marathon (42.2 kilometers) in the city.

The amount of money collected on Sunday exceeded the previous highest amount of £66.4 million, which was achieved during the same race in 2019.

Enthuse, the authorized online fundraising collaborator, expressed, "It was an amazing occasion with a fantastic outcome, as an enormous sum of money was collected to support charitable purposes."

The head honcho of Enthuse, Chester Mojay-Sinclare, expressed his joy at the remarkable day for the industry. He also conveyed his deep satisfaction for the charities that will reap the rewards of the public's kind-heartedness.

Over £40 million has been gifted through JustGiving, and contributions made through TCS have arisen above £27 million.

The director in charge of the London Marathon, Hugh Brasher, expressed his appreciation by stating that it was an extraordinary accomplishment and he was extremely grateful for everyone's contribution.
