Over the weekend, law enforcement apprehended two males who are both 19 years of age. The arrest was made in response to a report of sexual assault that was filed with the police on Friday, April 19th.

According to the authorities, the initial suspect was taken into custody on Saturday due to allegations of assisting and supporting a rape case, and another suspect was apprehended on Sunday on charges of rape.

According to reports, a football player was present at his team's stadium when law enforcement arrived. It is believed that he was questioned while at the stadium before being apprehended later on during the evening.

Both individuals, suspected to belong to the identical team, have been let go on police bail.

According to a police spokesperson who spoke to the BBC, two men have been apprehended subsequent to a report of a rape.

Police have arrested two 19-year-old men for their alleged involvement in a sexual assault and possible rape. One man is suspected of aiding and abetting the rape, while the other is suspected of committing the rape itself.

"Police have released both men on bail for the time being."

It is currently unclear whether the two players who were taken into custody following an alleged assault that reportedly occurred on Friday have been prohibited from playing.

A representative for the soccer team in question refused to provide any statement regarding the ongoing inquiry conducted by the authorities.

Someone who speaks for the club said to The Sun: "Because the authorities are now dealing with this issue, the club won't say anything more for now."

The club and its players cannot be named due to legal constraints.

Wolverhampton Wanderers denied on X, previously known as Twitter, any inappropriate online speculation about the identities of their players under investigation.
