Virat Kohli couldn't believe his eyes when Will Jacks achieved his first ever century in the Indian Premier League (IPL) match on April 28. The English batsman decimated the bowling attack of GT and led his team, RCB, to a phenomenal victory. Jacks smashed sixes off Rashid Khan's bowling to reach his hundred, which secured RCB's first win of the season.

During their partnership, Jacks played a supporting role to Kohli. However, in the 11th over, Jacks took control and continued to dominate in Mohit Sharma's 15th over, hitting him for 29 runs with two boundaries and three sixes. In the following over, bowled by Rashid, Jacks reached his hundred with a boundary and four more sixes. Kohli was stunned by Jacks' third six and had an amazing reaction.

Jacks achieved the winning runs by hitting a fantastic six, which resulted in RCB claiming the victory. Kohli observed the destruction from the opposite end and had a great view of it.

Kohli's Match Performance: A Review

Despite eventually becoming a mere observer, Kohli was in control of the chase from the get-go and managed to execute some truly impressive moves. Initially, Kohli seemed to be struggling to get going, but he eventually smashed a few massive sixes and took charge alongside Jacks. Eventually, Kohli clinched his 54th IPL half-century in style by hitting a boundary off Rashid Khan and demonstrating his impressive skills.

He kept playing his shots and remained not out while scoring 70 runs off 44 balls. Kohli achieved the milestone of accumulating more than 500 runs this season after securing his 4th half-century. The victory helped RCB reach six points, and they will face GT again on May 4 in Bengaluru.
