Confirmed Chelsea line up vs Aston Villa

Aston Villa vs Chelsea

Mauricio Pochettino has altered his team for the game against Aston Villa today, with the return of Cole Palmer, Thiago Silva, and Trevoh Chalobah resulting in three changes.

Djordje Petrovic is still the goalkeeper for the Blues, but there have been changes made to the defense in front of him since the last game against Arsenal.

Marc Cucurella still plays as the left back, but on the opposite side, Alfie Gilchrist steps down to make room for Trevoh Chalobah. Thiago Silva comes back to the defense in partnership with Benoit Badiashile as the center-back, after beginning on the bench during the previous game against Arsenal.

Enzo Fernandez has had to leave the team due to a groin injury. As a result, Conor Gallagher has been moved to a position closer to Moises Caicedo.

The lineup change entails that Noni Madueke, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Nicolas Jackson will form a set of attackers who will be positioned just behind Cole Palmer, who will be playing in a more advanced role.

Kiano Dyer and Tyrique George are once again on the bench and have the opportunity to make their first team debuts if they are asked to play. Josh Acheampong is also part of the team for the game.

Aston Villa has decided to modify their team after their previous 3-1 triumph over Bournemouth by switching out Moussa Diaby and bringing back Douglas Luiz.

Chelsea's starting line-up for the game consisted of Petrovic as the goalkeeper, Chalobah, Thiago Silva, Badiashile, and Cucurella as defenders. In the midfield, Gallagher took the captain's armband while playing alongside Caicedo. The attacking lineup included Madueke, Mudryk, Jackson, and Palmer.

Fulham manager Scott Parker has a number of alternative options to choose from with his substitutes bench. The likes of Bettinelli, Curd, Disasi, Casadei, Deivid, Gilchrist, Acheampong, George, and Dyer could all potentially come on and make an impact on the game. It's important for Parker to have a variety of players at his disposal, giving him the opportunity to switch things up if needed. It's an exciting prospect for Fulham fans to see what these substitutes can bring to the game if they get the chance to play.

The lineup for Aston Villa includes Martinez as the goalkeeper, with Cash, Konsa, Torres, and Digne as the defenders. Luiz and McGinn are the midfielders, with McGinn as the captain. Tielemans, Bailey, Rogers, and Watkins round out the attacking positions.

Replacements: Carlos, Diaby, Duran, Kelser-Hayden, Chambers, Lenglet, Olsen, Iroegbunam, Kellyman.
