ITV reports that the news anchor, Rageh Omaar, required medical attention after he became ill during a live broadcast.

On Friday night, Omaar was hosting the News at Ten. However, it seemed like he was having difficulty reading the news, leading to worry among online viewers.

A representative from ITV News has addressed the worries of the audience regarding Rageh Omaar's condition.

Rageh fell ill during his presentation of the ten o'clock news on Friday and is currently being treated by medical professionals. He expresses his gratitude for all the kind messages sent his way.

It is uncertain what occurred to Omaar, who is 56 years old, while the program was airing.

Nonetheless, ITV withdrew the program from its planned repeat broadcasts on ITV+1. Instead, a notification was shown to the audience stating that ITV was presently "incapable of providing our +1 service. We will resume it soon."

Omaar works as ITV's international affairs editor and is in charge of reporting on important news events worldwide. Additionally, he hosts On Assignment, which is a program focused on current affairs for ITV.

Before, he held a position as a chief overseas journalist for BBC. Omaar became famous for his work during the attack on Iraq in 2003, where he gave reports from a high point on a hotel in Baghdad.
