Sacha Baron Cohen says Rebel Wilson claims are 'demonstrably false' after she confirms he is the 'a**hole' in her book

Sacha Baron Cohen has denied the allegations made by Rebel Wilson and stated that they are completely untrue. Wilson had referred to him as the individual she had mentioned in her forthcoming memoir as being a "jerk."

Wilson, who is 44 years old, had previously mentioned that she planned to include a segment in her book about a person in Hollywood who she strongly dislikes. However, she did not disclose the individual's identity.

On Monday, Wilson made a statement on her Instagram account clarifying that the individual she mentioned was Baron Cohen, who is known for his roles in Ali G and Borat.

The 52-year-old British performer and humorist collaborated with Wilson while shooting for the 2016 spy-themed comic flick Grimsby, which was alternatively named as The Brothers Grimsby.

Wilson made a statement on Instagram that has since been deleted, as reported by Us Weekly, claiming that Baron Cohen's team attempted to prevent information about her book from being released to the media.

She stated: "However, the publication shall happen, and every one of you shall become aware of the reality."

Wilson stated that she refuses to be intimidated or hushed by expensive attorneys or communication experts.

The individual that I referred to as an unpleasant person in a certain part of my book happens to be Sacha Baron Cohen.

Someone who speaks on behalf of Baron Cohen shared in a message: "Even though we understand how vocalizing your thoughts is crucial, these claims that are clearly untrue are negated by plenty of proof that includes current records, video footage, and statements from people who were there prior to, during, and after filming 'The Brothers Grimsby'."

The protagonist of The Brothers Grimsby, Baron Cohen, had the role of Nobby, a football hooligan who became a spy. Additionally, Wilson portrayed Nobby's wife, Dawn Grobham, who was responsible for their 11 children.

The movie additionally included the acting talents of Penelope Cruz, Mark Strong, and Isla Fisher who is actually the wife of Baron Cohen in real life.

Wilson became famous for her role of Brynn in the popular comedy movie Bridesmaids back in 2011, and then went on to gain high praise for her portrayal of Fat Amy in the musical comedy film Pitch Perfect.

The release of her memoir titled "Rebel Rising" is scheduled for next month.
