People who watched Ryan Gosling's latest movie, The Fall Guy, early on found fault with a particular joke in the film that alludes to Amber Heard and Johnny Depp.

The movie The Fall Guy, featuring Gosling in the role of Colt Seavers, a stuntman who is struggling to make ends meet, will be released in cinemas next month. He is tasked with finding the leading actor who has disappeared from his ex-girlfriend's new movie, which promises to be a huge success.

In this action-comedy, Gosling is cast alongside Emily Blunt, Teresa Palmer, Hannah Wadingham, Winston Duke, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who is speculated to portray James Bond in the future.

Even though the movie hasn't been released yet, some individuals such as reviewers and reporters have been given the opportunity to view the film early. They're now posting their opinions on Twitter.

Some viewers have expressed disapproval towards a particular moment, claiming that the joke made during that moment was not enjoyable and lacked tastefulness.

The particular joke is uttered by the character of Hannah Waddingham upon entering a trailer that's become chaotic following a physical altercation.

"It feels as if Amber and Johnny just left this place," she comments, alluding to the infamous romance shared by the performers who were wedded from 2015 until 2017.

A reporter expressed their distaste for The Fall Guy, deeming it cringe and arrogant. However, their opinion shifted with the inclusion of an insensitive joke about J*hnny and A*ber, making the viewing experience uncomfortable. The journalist noted that it's surprising to see such a joke about domestic violence being included in an action comedy in 2024.

Another person commented, "Wow, that really ruined the movie for me. It was completely unnecessary and I even questioned whether I had heard it correctly. It's a shame that everyone involved in the movie had to experience that level of embarrassment."

Fans were also surprised to discover that the prank had been incorporated into the film.

According to an individual, it's really uncool if they are truly taking a short moment in The Fall Guy to mock Heard/Depp.

Another person mentioned that the notification had made them lose interest in Fall Guy.

The Independent reached out to a spokesperson on behalf of Drew Pearce, the writer of the film, for a comment.

During the past years, Depp and Heard have been involved in various legal cases that have gained a lot of public attention. The two had tied the knot in 2015, but ended their marriage after two years.

Last year, The Sun won a lawsuit against Johnny Depp for defamation. Depp had filed a lawsuit against the newspaper for calling him a "wife-beater".

High Court Judge Justice Nicol ruled that the newspaper's publication was "largely accurate." The judge confirmed that 12 out of the 14 claimed instances of domestic violence did take place.

Depp initiated legal action against Heard in 2022, alleging that her insinuation of his abuse towards her in a 2018 piece in The Washington Post constituted defamation.

The jury came to a decision after a six-week trial, and they ruled in favor of Depp. He was granted $10 million as compensatory damages and an additional $5 million as punitive damages.

The movie called The Fall Guy will hit theaters on May 2, 2024.
