'Pulp Fiction' Producer Stacey Sher Says Bruce Willis Was 'So Kind' to Her Late Dad on Set (Exclusive)

Stacey Sher, a producer in the film industry, is expressing her admiration for Bruce Willis!

During the Pulp Fiction 30th Anniversary celebration at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles on April 18, Sher, who is 61 years old, talked with PEOPLE about Willis, who is 69 years old, and how he is a very kind person.

She mentioned having a particular anecdote about Bruce Willis from the movie. She revealed that her father, Sy Sher, who was not part of the acting industry and had no prior experience on a film set aside from accompanying her, was responsible for training Bruce Willis in boxing.

"He was really nice to him, considering that this man had no experience, but really admired movies," she added. "That's what made me love movies too."

Regarding whether Sher has been able to maintain communication with Willis, who was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in 2023, throughout their concurrent careers in the entertainment industry, she responded by saying, "Occasionally. I'm acquainted with Demi [Moore] and his daughters, and he's truly a fantastic individual. We all hope for his well-being."

In the movie Pulp Fiction, Bruce Willis played the part of Butch Coolidge, a boxer who is getting older and has to flee. This film came out in 1994 and features a star-studded cast, including John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Harvey Keitel, Samuel L. Jackson, Eric Stoltz, Rosanna Arquette, and Christopher Walken, to name a few.

Throughout their career, Sher has worked as a producer on a diverse selection of movies. Some notable titles include Django Unchained, The Hateful Eight, Garden State, Contagion, Erin Brockovich, and Out of Sight, among others.

At the start of the 2024 TCM Classic Film Festival's grand evening event, Sher was accompanied by a star-studded cast including Travolta, who is 70 years old, Thurman at 53, Keitel at 84, Jackson at 75, Stoltz at 62, and Arquette at 64.

The event was graced by the presence of Emma Heming Willis, who is Willis' spouse, and one of their daughters, by the name Tallulah Willis.

In a recent interview with PEOPLE on April 18, Sher expressed that she never considered Quentin Tarantino's unconventional artistic visions and commitment to his work to be "risky."

The mother of two, who has been wedded to musician Kerry Brown for two decades, stated that she considered the artworks as an extension of his creative investigation.

"She also mentions that she has always supported his creative endeavors and recognized him as the skilled filmmaker and artist that he is."

Additionally recognizing Tarantino as "an individual with immense enthusiasm and honesty," Sher adds that he is also "an enthusiast of the film industry."

According to her, the existence of Quentin Tarantino in the film industry has made our cinematic world more valuable.
