WWE has decided to refer to WrestleMania 40 as WrestleMania XL. This choice of name is significant, as it is considered one of the most extensive pay-per-view events in the company's history.

The first evening of the two-night event will feature a highly anticipated match-up between The Rock and Roman Reigns, who are teaming up to take on Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. This feud has been a major contributor to the WWE's success in terms of viewership and social media engagement. The previous WrestleMania, which took place in 2019, was a huge milestone for the company, breaking records in terms of ticket sales, viewership, and merchandise. WWE even deemed it their most successful event ever.

The upcoming WrestleMania XL is predicted to be even more amazing. This is due to the cleverly arranged matches featuring The Bloodline's family issues, Becky Lynch versus Rhea Ripley, and Jade Cargill's first match on Night One. The outcomes of these matches will establish the vibe for the season after WrestleMania. Typically, WWE struggles to retain consistent viewer interest during this time.

In the beginning of 2024, WWE had really good numbers of people watching their shows. However, for their big WrestleMania event, they need to keep doing a good job in order to keep their fans interested. Here are five smart choices that WWE should make on the first night of WrestleMania 40.

Jade Cargill Reigns As Bianca Belair Remains Undefeated

Jade Cargill is set to take on her first WWE match outside of the Royal Rumble event during WrestleMania 40. She will be joining forces with Bianca Belair and Naomi to face off against their opponents, Damage CTRL.

The six-woman tag team match has two important objectives to fulfill. The first is to maintain Belair's unbeatable record at WrestleMania, where she has won all three matches. The second is to ensure that Cargill has a strong start to her career. To achieve both objectives, Belair, Cargill, and Naomi need to win the match convincingly.

Cargill has the ability to become a huge star in the WWE and is already receiving a lot of positive attention from the audience. It would be smart to continue building on this momentum by having Cargill achieve a clear and decisive win for her team in her first WrestleMania appearance. This rare win would cement her position as a rising star in the company.

Jimmy Uso Loses To Jey Uso

The WWE has demonstrated through their choices that Jey Uso is a more prominent wrestler as an individual compared to his brother Jimmy, who has not claimed any significant wins as a singles competitor.

Having said that, it wouldn't be a complete surprise if Jimmy defeats Jey at WrestleMania by using sneaky methods, maybe with help from Solo Sikoa, just to prolong their feud. However, rumors have been circulating for a while that Jey is destined to become a major singles player, and WWE has been doing an excellent job of promoting him on Raw. This makes it more probable that Jey will come out victorious in a singles match.

Jey is now a highly successful merchandiser, and is really well-liked by fans of WWE. His connection with the crowd is genuine and can't be faked. WWE should keep capitalizing on Jey's popularity and create a heartwarming moment for him at WrestleMania 40, so that the audience can once again cheer and celebrate his victory in an unforgettable way.

Gunther Keeps WWE Intercontinental Title

It appears that Sami Zayn, who has been seen as the less likely winner, could potentially bring an end to Gunther's lengthy Intercontinental Championship title. However, is this truly the best outcome? The answer is simply no.

Zayn is a fan favorite, but he was surprised by the unfavorable response to his win in the gauntlet match that earned him the chance to challenge Gunther. Currently, fans are showing more support for Chad Gable, who has a long-standing history with Gunther. Therefore, Gable would make the more logical choice to take down Gunther and become the new champion.

It'd make sense for Gable to become the Intercontinental Champion, even though Zayn is wildly popular. Zayn's gotten that title plenty of times before, so now he ought to put in work to nab his first-ever WWE world title.

Back in the olden days of WWE creativity, it was almost guaranteed that Gable would become a bad guy and ruin Zayn's chances of winning the championship. While that could still happen, Gable is such a lovable hero and Gunther such a fascinating villain that Gunther deserves to win this match fair and square against Zayn.

Rhea Ripley Keeps Women's World Title

Rhea Ripley has been the champion of the Women's World Championship for a year and has become one of the most popular WWE stars. It's clear that many people love Becky Lynch, and now is the perfect opportunity to give her a chance to win a main roster title again after two years.

Despite being considered a villain, Ripley has gained a huge following in recent times and although she won against Nia Jax at Elimination Chamber, she hasn't had a defining win against a legendary wrestler during her current reign. The uncertainty of Lynch's WWE contract situation makes it even more important for WWE to continue pushing Ripley who is a guaranteed success.

It's not necessary for every newcomer to win at WrestleMania. Lynch is a beloved character amongst fans and a loss would only add to her story, making it more intriguing.

"Rock And Reigns Reign Supreme"

If Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes are beaten by Roman Reigns and The Rock on the first night, then the second night's Rhodes vs. Reigns II match will be under the "Bloodline rules," which means it will be a street fight without any disqualifications.

The reason why Reigns held onto his title for over 1,300 days is because The Bloodline frequently intervened in his matches. It wouldn't make sense for them to not be involved at WrestleMania 40. Rhodes is going to have a tough night on the second night of the event, with all the chances against him. If somehow he and Rollins manage to overcome the odds and win, then The Bloodline won't be allowed to hang around the ring during Reigns' match against Rhodes.

A more interesting possibility would be if Rhodes faces overwhelming challenges in defeating Reigns. This will happen if The Bloodline intervenes during his match on Night Two. Besides, The Rock cannot afford to lose his first match in more than ten years.

Naturally, this could open up the possibility for The Bloodline to unintentionally cause Reigns to lose his Universal Championship. This could lead to various interesting plotlines, possibly resulting in the desired bout between Rock and Reigns.

However, the crucial point is that winning on the second night would make Rhodes' anticipated victory even more enjoyable. This is particularly true given his prior defeats at the hands of both "The Final Boss" and "The Tribal Chief."
