WWE WrestleMania 40 Results And Everything That Happened As The Rock Pins Cody

WrestleMania 40

On the WWE SmackDown, there was a showdown between The Rock, Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns.

At WrestleMania Night 1, there was a massive tag team match that featured The Rock and Roman Reigns fighting against Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes. It was expected to be a major event as it was the first tag team main event in 38 consecutive WrestleManias. In fact, it became the second tag team main event in a row for WrestleMania Night 1.

WrestleMania 40 Main Event: All That Went Down

The company that funded this game was American Home Shield, which is quite ironic. Did you catch on? Shield? Mama Rhodes was present near the boxing ring, and Cody Rhodes embraced Mama Rhodes and offered his lifting belt to his father-in-law.

The reason why Seth Rollins' entrance was prolonged was because the WWE production crew was preparing for a huge image of a brahma bull to be displayed on the stage. The Rock arrived in a tracksuit while carrying The People's Championship for his entrance. Similarly, Rhodes and Rollins got their usual entrance, which included more pyrotechnics than usual for Reigns.

I'm not sure if this is an officially recognized statistic, but I'm willing to wager that the total duration of all four entrances was longer than the length of every WrestleMania match put together.

The entrances of The Rock and Cody Rhodes produced diverse reactions. The fight kicked off with a loud cheer and two different choruses of "Rocky" and "Cody". The four wrestlers were standing in the ring, creating anticipation over who would start the match, since all of them are renowned for their arrogance. Ultimately, The Rock decided to let Reigns take the lead. The match officially began with Reigns and Rollins, and fans serenaded Seth's tune as they did so.

In the blog post, it was mentioned that Cody Rhodes pleaded for a tag, causing fans to cheer with "Cody" chants when he finally got in the ring. There were also contrasting cheers of "let's go Cody/Cody sucks!" during the match between Rhodes and Reigns, but their performance was not very eventful. They only went through a couple of moves before Rollins came in to take over.

The match was heated up when The Rock made his entry with a booming pop from the audience. He teamed up with Rollins and gave a remarkable performance, leaving Cody Rhodes impressed. However, Rollins and Reigns ganged up on The Rock, and then shifted their focus towards Roman Reigns. Although the match lasted for 10 minutes, it was a bit sluggish in its pace, with its main focus on crowd engagement and building momentum.

The brawl turned violent when Rollins and Rock took their fight to the crowd, with Reigns and Rhodes also brawling near the entrance. They continued fighting outside for a few minutes and used weapons, and there was no count of ten, as if they were following the Bloodline Rules for the match.

After the action shifted back to the ring, the speed decreased to create tension for the villains while Reigns restrained Rollins. Later, The Bloodline took control and both Reigns and Rock fiercely attacked Rollins on the ring's periphery. Considering the huge names involved in this fight, the excitement level so far had been underwhelming.

During the match, Reigns was dominating Rollins, which led to fans loudly booing him. Rollins managed to hit a neckbreaker on Rhodes, causing fans to eagerly ask for the hot tag. Suddenly, The Rock entered the match and stopped Rollins in his tracks. Reigns and The Rock took turns beating down on Seth and keeping Rhodes at bay. The Rock even applied a sharpshooter on Rollins, but Rhodes came back to slap The Rock, giving Seth the opportunity to execute a Curb Stomp. There was a scary moment where Rhodes seemed to have too much momentum during a Cody Cutter on Reigns, but the move looked amazing and intense. At this point, the nearfalls were becoming more significant, with the audience reacting even more. These wrestlers were experts in their field, diligently captivating the crowd and building the match up to a thrilling climax.

During the match, Reigns was stuck in a compromising position after being hit by a Stomp/Cross Rhodes combo. However, The Rock intervened by grabbing the referee, allowing Reigns to recover. Reigns then followed up with a powerful Spear that knocked Cody down. As Cody made a kick-out, the crowd erupted in a loud cheer.

Without a doubt, The Rock obtained Mama Rhodes' championship belt and started teasing her. Rhodes seized the belt, but it fell from her grip when Rock hit her with a punch and followed up with the Dusty Punches move. Rock attempted to execute the People’s Elbow, but Cody intervened with a Cody Cutter, resulting in a remarkable moment that excited the crowd at Lincoln Financial Field.

In an intense moment, Roman Reigns unintentionally tackled The Rock. As a result, both wrestlers were hit with a Cross Rhodes and Pedigree move simultaneously, resulting in a tie and both wrestlers getting back up. The crowd was very excited, screaming phrases like "this is awesome" and "oh my God!"

Once again, the fight continued outside the ring. There were some really shocking moments, like when Rhodes managed to perform a Rock Bottom on The Rock and ended up slamming him right through a table (yes, you read that correctly). Meanwhile, Reigns delivered a powerful spear that sent Rollins hurtling into a barricade.

During the event, there was a back and forth reaction from the audience. They disapproved of Reigns' punches and preferred Cody's moves, resulting in a mix of boos and cheers. The momentum shifted when Rock entered the ring and disrupted Rhodes' series of Cross Rhodes moves. Despite being hit with a Spear from Reigns, Rock demanded to be a part of the action and was granted his wish. He delivered a Rock Bottom on Rhodes, followed by a People's Elbow, securing the victory. If Rhodes emerges victorious tomorrow, this could set up a future championship match between Rock and Cody and ultimately Rock vs. Reigns. Overall, it was a spectacular performance that overcame a challenging crowd and ended on a high note.

Cody Rhodes was in the ring, feeling low and downhearted, reminiscent of a poetic moment. It was a dramatic scene, almost like a movie. But above all, it was wrestling at its finest.
