The movie, Back To Black, directed by Sam Taylor Johnson, puts the spotlight on the passionate love affair between Amy Winehouse and Blake Fielder-Civil. Winehouse was an amazing singer who passed away at the young age of 27 due to excessive alcohol consumption in July of 2011. By making this biopic, the filmmakers aim to emphasize that although Winehouse's life ended in tragedy, she was a remarkably talented individual. They hope to remind the audience of Winehouse's exceptional abilities through the screening of Back To Black.

Last February, Fielder-Civil had a new teardrop tattoo done in honor of the deceased singer. It is well-known that Winehouse had drawn a teardrop on her own face during Fielder-Civil's hospitalization in prison back in 2008.

Winehouse's album Back To Black was influenced by the fluctuations in her romantic relationship. She channeled all of her feelings into her music, resulting in the release of the song Tears Dry On Their Own in October 2006. The biopic, also titled Back To Black, will be unveiled on April 12, showcasing their love story and the eventual unraveling of their bond.

The setting couldn't have been more fitting, as the venue was a classic pub with musical performances and pool tables. Fielder-Civil was in high spirits after winning a wager when he caught sight of Winehouse for the very first time, and the rest is now part of their shared history.

In less than seven days, Winehouse had permanently marked her body with her lover's name 'Blake' on her chest, resulting in her gaining a lot of notoriety. Similarly obsessed, Fielder-Civil chose to get Winehouse's name tattooed on his ears. Unfortunately, their romance came to an end which served as the inspiration for her famous 2006 album Back To Black.

After a period of two and a half years, the pair contemplated rekindling their romance. Consumed by the intensity of their love, they agreed to get married. Fielder-Civil proposed to Winehouse, presenting her with a magnificent diamond ring from Tiffanys, to which she happily accepted.

The vocalist expressed her desire for a long-lasting romance after announcing her engagement to the media. The Sun was told, "I aspire to spend the entirety of my life with him."

The joyful pair got married in Miami, Florida in May, a month after mending their romantic relationship. Tracey Miller, who represents the bride, told PEOPLE that Amy did indeed tie the knot on that day.

Love was clearly evident as the couple couldn't keep away from each other during their stay at The Shore Club hotel on South Beach, lasting three days. They were the epitome of content newlyweds - displaying affection through kissing and hand holding.

Winehouse disclosed that her love was reignited. She shared with Entertainment Weekly in 2007, "It's been a month since we reunited, but we've been hanging out for a while... We're super close buddies."

Their marriage ended in 2009 when pictures were released of Winehouse getting close to Josh Bowman in the Caribbean. They decided to get a divorce. In an interview with the News of the World, Winehouse stated, "I have finally gotten away from my bad situation. I'm in love again and I don't rely on drugs anymore. See me, I'm happy and healthy!"

During the time of Winehouse's untimely death in 2011, Fielder-Civil was incarcerated for burglary and possession of a simulated firearm. It was reported that he suffered a physical breakdown upon receiving news of her passing. He expressed that he was unable to find comfort in any way.

He said, "I can't stop crying. The love that I had for her will never be felt again. Anyone who knew me or Amy could see how much we loved each other. I am still in disbelief that she is no longer here." Fielder-Civil was unable to attend Winehouse's funeral due to being incarcerated at the time.

Reflecting on the past year, Fielder-Civil openly expressed his feelings about their relationship. The former spouse revealed that he couldn't bear the weight of blame for Winehouse's passing any longer, especially on the day that would have marked her 40th birthday in September. He voiced his belief that many individuals still accuse him of being accountable for her demise.

The production assistant acknowledged some major errors during his time in a romantic relationship and marriage. He spoke on the show Good Morning Britain, sharing that he needed to stop shouldering the blame alone. He had carried the burden alone for a decade, but now felt that he was the only one taking responsibility and admitting fault in the situation. He stated, "Yep, I made some huge mistakes."

When discussing his missteps, Fielder-Civil expressed that he was a young adult who was dependent on drugs. As a result, he had no clue how to get himself sober, let alone help someone else who played a crucial role in a record label's operation. Furthermore, there were individuals who had a vested interest in Amy continuing to perform.

The movie Back to Black will be released in United Kingdom theaters on 12th of April.
