During Monday's episode of The One Show, comedian Julian Clary recounted a personal story about his dearly departed companion.

She recounted: "He possessed an innate goodness and sporadic benevolence. Upon my arrival in the vicinity of his abode, he paid me a visit, bearing a hamper overflowing with environmental cleaning provisions and a savory shepherd's pie."

The abode had an icy temperature and on the following day, a truck came with a Rayburn stove from the 1920s which heated up the entire dwelling.

Clary commented on how the career of the For the Love of Dogs presenter had skyrocketed once he stopped appearing as the character Lily Savage.

According to Clary, he believes that the person realized they had a similar sense of humor as Paul. After experiencing creative freedom by portraying Lily, they continued to feel liberated by not having to portray the same character and instead just embodying Paul's persona.
