The funny person and television personality passed away in his slumber unexpectedly last March at 67 years old. The cause of death was due to an irregular heartbeat.

The comedian Clary recently spoke on BBC One's The One Show, where he discussed the presenter and former drag queen, O'Grady. Clary praised O'Grady's kindheartedness, noting that he was known for being generous to both his close friends and complete strangers.

During the show, Alex Jones mentioned that O'Grady used to work as a social worker when he was young. Clary chimed in, saying that O'Grady was naturally kind and generous to everyone he met. He wasn't just involved with large charitable organizations; he regularly assisted individuals because that's what he was taught to do growing up.

"He showed great kindness towards me when I moved close to him. Although I wasn't in a disadvantaged position, he still brought over a basket filled with environmentally friendly cleaning supplies and a delicious shepherd's pie."

Clary added, "Furthermore, the temperature inside the house was quite low. Fortunately, a truck carrying a classic Rayburn stove from the 1920s arrived the following day. This stove was capable of heating up the entire house."

O'Grady and Clary had been good buddies for a while, and during O'Grady's funeral, Clary delivered a speech that made the attendees chuckle.

In 2017, the Olivier Awards had Paul O'Grady and Julian Clary in attendance.

Clary is among the prominent personalities in the upcoming documentary film, The Life and Death of Lily Savage. The movie documents the remarkable achievements of O'Grady's flamboyant drag persona.

In addition to highlighting the recollections of Sharyn Mousley, who had a renowned drag queen as her father, the movie also exhibits videos of the celebrity's early artistic creations.

Young O'Grady would often draw a woman who bore resemblance to Lily Savage, the persona that he would later become famous for on a national level.

During a segment on The One Show, Clary mentioned that while perusing an ancient library tome, they discovered sketches that resembled a person named Lily. Clary claimed that the art seemed to foretell what was to come, and admitted to having engaged in similar doodling habits during their youth.

As soon as I laid my eyes upon it, I had a moment of recognition. The doodle depicted a human countenance that bore a striking resemblance to my own stage persona - complete with identical makeup. The implications of this coincidence are open to interpretation; perhaps it suggests some sort of predetermined fate. Who knows, maybe one day a scientist may unravel the mystery for us.

On Good Friday, which is on April 29th, at 9:00pm, ITV1 is set to broadcast The Life and Death of Lily Savage.
