On Sunday evening, Gonçalo Ramos scored twice as Paris Saint-Germain easily defeated Lyon 4-1, increasing their lead in Ligue 1 to 11 points.

The guests came to Parc des Princes football stadium as one of the best teams in the league, having earned 34 points out of a total of 45. This allowed them to move from the bottom of the table to the middle of it, where they are now safe from being relegated.

However, in less than seven minutes, they found themselves two goals behind.

During PSG's initial attack in Lyon's land, Lyon midfielder Nemanja Matic unintentionally kicked the ball into his own team's goal defended by Anthony Lopes. This mistake allowed the home team to enjoy an excellent opening after only two minutes of play.

Lucas Beraldo scored the second goal after Lyon's defenders couldn't handle the corner coming from their left side.

However, following a hectic period, Lyon gradually gained control. Said Benrahma operating on the left and Ernest Nuamah on the right started to make progress.

Ramos made the first goal after 33 minutes, stopping the rebellion. Aiming for the ball from Hakimi's right cross, the Portugal player lifted his head between O'Brien and Maitland-Niles, striking it hard past Lopes.

Lyon has incorporated resilience under the leadership of Pierre Sage. Even though they lost 3-0, they still persisted with their investigations.

In just four minutes, their eagerness paid off. Nuamah came in from the right, maneuvered along the PSG box, and shot the ball past the PSG goalie, Gigi Donnarumma, initiating a competition.

However, just as the first half was ending, Vitinha, a midfielder for PSG, skillfully moved past two players from Lyon from his own side of the field to set up a counterattack. He then passed the ball to Marco Asensio, who advanced it up the field and gave it to Ramos, who effortlessly directed it past the helpless Lopes, bringing the score to 4-1.

On the previous Sunday, Lyon managed to overturn a 3-1 deficit and win 4-3 against Brest.

"I am satisfied with how well it went."
