Thiago Silva transfer decision made with announcement imminent after wife drops huge Chelsea hint

Belle Silva, who is married to Chelsea's defender Thiago Silva, has suggested that her husband may be departing from Stamford Bridge after this season. The rumors were further fueled when the defender himself made some comments during the weekend.

When the current season comes to an end, Silva will no longer be under contract with Chelsea. So far, there hasn't been any indication of negotiations for an extension to keep him at the club. Silva has been a Chelsea player for four years now, having come over on a free transfer from Paris Saint Germain back in the summer of 2020.

On Saturday afternoon, the defender participated in the entire 90 minutes of the FA Cup semi-final match between Chelsea and Manchester City. He clearly showed his disappointment and took to social media to express his emotions following the game.

Silva's spouse shared snaps of them preparing to watch the game at Wembley on her Instagram story prior to the match. In a particular post, she was seen holding a Chelsea scarf featuring Silva's name and seemed to indicate that it was their final visit to the arena by writing, "It's Wembley's final jig."

The Silva family seems to anticipate that this will be his final campaign with the club. This could be the reason for the defender's feelings at the conclusion of the game, as the opportunity to earn a third prize with the club is no longer possible.

Silva played a vital role in the team that won the Champions League in 2021. He also emerged victorious in the Club World Cup with Chelsea the next year.

Following the game, Silva shared that his future has been decided, and fans will be informed in the upcoming days.

He communicated to the Mirror that you will find out soon. He does not want to reveal any details now as he is unhappy about the defeat. The information will come out eventually, however, it is not appropriate to disclose it at this time. He has already made a decision, but he prefers to wait until the appropriate moment to disclose it.

Even though it's not a solo activity, my time here for four years was exceptional. I never doubted my capabilities, but considering the league's rigor and my age, it's uncommon to witness athletes performing at a top-level when they're 39.

"Discussing myself is not my favorite topic, however, it is evident that I was prepared for the possibility of playing extra-time during the semi-final match! It is clear to me that I have several more years of enjoyment left in my football career."
