Saturday Night Takeaway viewers left heartbroken as ITV show airs final episode

Ant and Dec are set to bid adieu to their Saturday Night Takeaway viewers on the current evening.

Saturday's evening entertainment show, Takeaway, had its audience feeling very sad when Ant and Dec bid a sincere goodbye to them.

The final episode of the ITV series was broadcasted tonight and it was a two-hour special. Beforehand, presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnely announced that the present series of the famous show will not be aired for a period of time.

After being off the air for 20 years, there has been no official announcement from Ant, Dec, ITV, or any other television network about the return of the show.

The conclusion of the series was met with joyous goodbyes, as opposed to a somber sendoff with energetic tunes and enthusiasts rooting together. Dec noted that they're ending on a high note tonight and shared that the program is occupying the entire ITV studio.

Someone posted on the X platform, formerly known as Twitter, that they were really sad that the Saturday Night Takeaway show has come to an end. Another user commented that in a year from now, they will have nothing to watch between 7-9 pm because there won't be anything like Saturday Night Takeaway on air.

Another person commented, "I'm uncertain whether I'm prepared for the end of Saturday Night Takeaway." Someone else shared, "Despite feeling the show's quality has declined a bit, it's upsetting to watch the final episode of Saturday Night Takeaway."

Since 2002, I have faithfully tuned in every year. It will be peculiar to not see it on again. Another person expressed their disbelief that the upcoming episode will be the last Saturday Night Takeaway ever, confessing that it has made them quite emotional.

The last installment of Saturday Night Takeaway will be broadcasted live on ITV1 until 9pm tonight.
