The Balearic Administration has permitted the Consell de Mallorca to implement the privatisation of automobile inspections in Mallorca.

Jaume Alzamora, who represents MÉS per Mallorca, expressed his disagreement on Monday 22nd. He stated that costs would go up and there would be a decrease in quality. These effects would ultimately impact the citizens and they would have to bear the consequences.

Mallorca Has The Most Affordable ITVs In Spain

He gave an instance of the ITVs located in Madrid and the Valencian Community, and mentioned that those two regions have the highest prices throughout the country. On the other hand, Mallorca offers the most affordable rates at the moment.

He requested that the head of the Consell, Llorenç Galmés, abstain from raising the present fees and maintain their control in the hands of the government.
