What Did You Overlook?

The Channel 4 program, The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer, was back on air tonight (7 April). The show featured four celebrities, including BBC Radio 1 host Greg James, Spice Girls star Mel B, This Morning's Dermot O'Leary, and comedian Fern Brady. The celebrities baked their hearts out to raise funds for a worthy cause.

In the Signature challenge, the four contestants were given the assignment of making a set of iced buns. During this challenge, Greg made a surprising statement. He confessed that he would be perfectly content with only having custard if that was a viable option for him to survive.

Greg, Dermot O'Leary, Fern Brady, and Mel B were featured on Channel 4.

3 Questions: What, How, And Why?

Greg designed an iced bun that was inspired by a memory from his childhood. To complete the delicacy, he garnished it with custard icing.

After he put his dough into the oven, he was caught on camera saying: "Alright, it's time for custard... Custard is everything to me, if I could solely rely on it for survival, that would be great!"

Noting the celebrity's fondness for the soft, yellow substance, Alison Hammond, co-host of Bake Off, inquired if he had ever "taken a dip in custard," resulting in a lot of uncertainty. In confusion, he asked, "What's Abaffer Custard?" mistakenly believing she was referring to a fancy brand.

At the judge's desk, Paul Hollywood expressed to Greg that the shapes were quite peculiar. The colour seemed appropriate, however, the custard was not up to par. He even went as far as to say that if the custard was dropped on the floor, it would rebound and hit someone in the face.

Regrettably, he had let it solidify.

In the most recent episode of Channel 4, Dermot was given a Hollywood Handshake.

More To See In Celebrity Bake Off Tent?

During the Signature challenge, O'Leary presented a fruits of the forest theme that was well-received by Hollywood. This resulted in O'Leary receiving one of Hollywood's coveted handshakes.

The man surprised the baker by shaking his hand and explaining the reason behind it. He expressed his admiration for the baker's ability to recreate the same flavour and texture he remembered from his childhood. He revealed that the flavour in question was his favourite as a child. The man thanked the baker and commended him for his impressive work.

Afterwards, O'Leary confessed that his loved ones had been relentlessly reminding him about the possibility of receiving a 'Hollywood Handshake' while in the tent.

"I initially thought that I wouldn't receive a handshake. However, I also reminded myself that it wasn't a big deal if I missed it. Nevertheless, when I did receive the handshake, I suddenly felt like a young child. It even caused me to get emotional," he shared.

The program called The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer is broadcast every Sunday on Channel 4.

Celebrities who shattered their accolades like Candice Brown destroys Bake Off trophy It's not just the winners who can't resist a bit of trophy destruction. This week, The Great British Bake Off winner from 2016 admitted she smashed her prized Bake Off trophy accidentally. Brown said on her Instagram "So this is incredibly awkward... when I was moving house, I accidentally dropped my Bake Off trophy and it has smashed into a million pieces!" Though it's a heartbreaking story for those who love a little memorabilia, she's certainly not the first person to break their award. Stars across sports, music and film have all accidentally (or maybe on purpose) shattered their accolades. Here are a few other instances of award-damage: 1. Jennifer Lawrence tripped on her dress while walking up to receive her Best Actress Oscar in 2013. She tried to steady herself on the steps, but accidentally broke her award. 2. Novak Djokovic dropped his Wimbledon trophy in 2015 while doing a victory celebration after his win over Roger Federer in the final. 3. Michael Jackson reportedly dropped one of his Grammy awards in the toilet and refused to accept a replacement. 4. When BB King received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Grammys in 1987, the trophy slipped out of his hand and hit the stage, leaving a noticeable dent. But hey, at least all of these celebrities still have the memories of their big wins.
