On Sunday's episode of the Great Celebrity Bake Off Stand Up to Cancer, Dermot O'Leary was the first to receive a Hollywood handshake, leaving Greg James in complete shock.

A group of well-known participants, including Spice Girl Mel B, comedian Fern Brady, and radio presenter Greg James, were given three challenges in a baking competition. For the Signature category, they had to make iced buns, which is a classic family treat. The Technical bake required them to make another classic baked good, and for the Showstopper challenge, they had to create a biscuit version of their own celebrity lookalike.

Dermot's frozen pastries impressed judge Paul Hollywood immensely, resulting in him giving Dermot one of his renowned friendly handshakes.

Dermot, who is a TV host and 50 years old, decided to create some iced buns with fruits of the forest. His inspiration for the recipe came from his childhood.

He mentioned that he grew up in the 80s and the flavour 'fruits of the forest' was very common.

Greg James was completely amazed when Dermot O'Leary received the initial Hollywood handshake during the most recent season of Great Celebrity Bake Off Stand Up to Cancer on Sunday.

Dermot's iced buns impressed judge Paul Hollywood greatly, causing him to grant Dermot one of his celebrated congratulatory handshakes.

Judge Paul Hollywood praised Dermot for his ability to recreate the flavors he tasted during his younger years, giving him warm congratulations.

Dermot, the host of This Morning, expressed that he was deeply touched and emotional when he received a congratulatory handshake from Paul.

BBC Radio One presenter Greg was in disbelief when he witnessed Paul extending his hand to Dermot.

As he was left in awe, he took a moment to glance around at his counterparts who were also participating inside the tent.

In the Signature challenge, the famous individuals baked eight sweet buns that were covered with frosting. The flavor and design of each bun had a unique significance to the bakers.

Greg decided to bake iced buns that reminded him of the ones he used to enjoy from a nearby bakery when he was a child.

Nevertheless, he incorporated custard to provide them with an added touch of excellence.

Greg received negative feedback about the consistency of his custard. Judge Paul remarked that if he were to drop it on the ground, it would spring right back up.

Dermot, who hosts TV programs and is 50 years old, decided to bake iced buns with fruits of the forest. He was inspired by his childhood memories. Paul, who tasted the buns, was also reminded of his younger days.

Mel B created some sweet buns with a Caribbean taste to honor her father who was from Nevis, an island in the Caribbean.

She attempted to add the taste of his beloved rum to the buns, however, she encountered a problem right away as she inaccurately measured the ingredients by guessing their proportions.

Melanie lost her father Martin in March 2017 following a difficult struggle with myeloma cancer.

Mel explained that her father passed away due to cancer, making it significant for her to undertake this cause. Cancer is a dreadful illness, which is why this contribution is her approach to showing her appreciation to her father.

Fern created knotted buns like the ones made in Sweden and added a delicious flavour of cardamom.

The pastry chefs were assigned to create a dessert known as chocolate and raspberry roulade with meringue, topped with a swirl of Chantilly cream.

Greg looked like he had a hard time starting with the first step which was to prepare the sponge cake without using flour.

He made a humorous remark saying that he requires the presence of his mother.

Mel B cooked up some ice buns with a Caribbean twist to pay tribute to her father who hailed from the Nevis Island.

When she tried to add her boyfriend's treasured rum to the bun mixture, she encountered difficulties right from the start. She didn't perform her measurements precisely and instead relied on guesswork to decide the correct proportions.

Paul commented that all the completed goods contain all the components, but they may not be arranged in the correct sequence.

He expressed his opinion about Mel's roulade, saying, 'I'm uncertain as to what occurred here. It gives the appearance of a shoe. It's in shambles. It's insignificant!'

Prue Leith and Paul made a decision that Greg deserved the fourth position for his roulade. They commented that, 'Although it tasted fine, it didn't have the appropriate shape.'

Dermot got the second place and Mel got the third. Dame Prue commented on Dermot's roulade, saying it tasted great, but it did not have the correct shape for the competition.

Fern was the winner of the chocolate roulade competition which astonished her. She stated, "I am taken aback. This is my first attempt at making it."

The bakers received another assignment to create a roulade made of chocolate and raspberry, topped with meringue and a swirl of Chantilly cream.

The famous personalities were requested to prepare a biscuit that resembled their well-known identical twin.

Fern made a decision to create the look of Boy George since she has frequently been told that she bears a resemblance to him and they both apply a lot of cosmetics.

She opted to make use of gingerbread cookies that were filled with a cream cheese center.

Mel opted to create a cookie flavored with ginger and spices, but she misinterpreted the instructions and opted to craft a likeness of herself in the image of a famous person.

Spice Girl Scary added some mango buttercream to her biscuit to make it look more appealing and delicious.

Greg chose to create a lemon shortbread biscuit artwork of Clare Balding.

After some consideration, she chose to utilize gingerbread cookies filled with a savory cream cheese mixture.

She stated that she and Boy George frequently apply makeup that is of the same weight (a photograph of Boy George from 1983 was included).

Greg made a decision to create a portrait of Clare Balding using biscuits.

Alison and Noel Fielding, the hosts of the show, couldn't keep a straight face when Greg showed Dame Prue and Paul his biscuit creation featuring Clare Balding (as seen in a picture from 2022). They burst into laughter instead.

Mel opted to bake a ginger bread cookie with spices but misinterpreted the instructions and resolved to craft a depiction of her own fame.

Spice Girl Scary Spice adorned her cookie with a delightful mango-flavored buttercream topping.

Dermot created a depiction of his admired actor James Norton using biscuits with a flavor of custard. He then expressed his desire for Norton to portray him if there was a film about his life.

Alison and Noel Fielding, the hosts, couldn't hold back their giggles while Greg offered his baked good to judges Dame Prue and Paul.

Paul stated that he finds it delightful and impressive that two biscuits were made.

Greg confessed he was in a bit of a hurry towards the end and made a joke saying, "Looks like it requires more than three hours of work to create Clare Balding's visage."

Prue, a title given to a woman of high social status, expressed to Fern her positive thoughts regarding the Boy George cookie: 'This biscuit is amazing. There is a significant presence of ginger, but the texture is quite firm and dense. Despite this, it is delightful. Great job!'

She commented on James Norton's custard cream biscuit made by Dermot by saying: 'The biscuit texture was too soft, it required more time in the oven.'

. He emerged as the winner of the Star Baker title on the latest episode of The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer on Channel 4. Dermot O'Leary was deemed the best among the contestants and was awarded the coveted apron on Sunday.

Paul commented that the base was slightly dense and could have benefited from additional time in the oven. Nevertheless, he remarked that the flavor was quite enjoyable.

Dermot was granted the Star Baker apron as he left a great impression on the judges, Dame Prue and Paul.

Dermot expressed his happiness upon receiving the Stand Up To Cancer Star Baker apron and shared, "I am very pleased with the win. Honestly, I believed Fern would take the prize as she has done exceptionally well in the past few weeks."
