In March of this year, Jonathan Majors, an actor, was found guilty by a New York jury of committing two misdemeanor charges of domestic assault against his then girlfriend.

The decision signals the conclusion of a widely talked about legal proceeding that commenced with the detention of Majors on March 26th.

On the previous night, the main actor of Creed III and his then-girlfriend Grace Jabarri, who is a dancer and actor herself, had a serious fight while they were travelling together in an SUV on their way to Majors' flat located in Chelsea.

During the trial, Jabarri stated that the situation became physical when she discovered romantic messages on Majors' phone. When Jabarri took the device from Majors, he forcefully twisted her arm into a position that caused her immense agony and hit her on the head, as Jabarri explained to the jury.

Afterwards, Majors reclaimed possession of the phone, alighted from the automobile and sprinted away through the roads of downtown Manhattan. According to footage from surveillance cameras installed on the streets, Jabarri pursued him in pursuit.

He encountered a legal case consisting of four charges for minor misdemeanors, including assault, aggravated assault, and harassment. If he was found guilty on all charges, he could have been sentenced to a maximum of one year in jail. However, after the trial, he was only found guilty of third-degree assault and second-degree harassment.

In June, Majors took legal action against Jabarri by filing a countersuit. The countersuit claimed that Jabarri physically attacked Majors because he found messages from another woman on her phone. However, authorities did not pursue charges against Majors for her alleged involvement in the altercation.

While in court, Jabarri delved into the ups and downs of the couple's relationship, which originated in August 2021 while working together on Marvel's Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. In the film, Major played the role of the villain Kang the Conqueror, while Jabarri was responsible for coaching his movements. The relationship between the two was at times turbulent and unstable.

According to reports, in 2021, Majors reprimanded Jabarri for mentioning her previous partner's pet dog. Then, during the summer of 2022, he supposedly scolded her via text message for going to the Glastonbury music festival in England. Jabarri went on to disclose that Majors would frequently speak of taking his own life after disagreements, despite not testifying in court.

She shared that she kept many things concealed from others. She experienced a sense of loneliness and uncertainty. She also had fear towards him but was reliant on him. Despite all of this, they stayed in a relationship because of the love she had for him, as she revealed to the jury.
