Jonathan Majors has been given probation as punishment for assaulting his former girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, who is a choreographer from Britain.

The American performer, dismissed by Marvel due to his conviction, is now obligated to finish a year-long course aimed at rehabilitating domestic violence behaviors.

The judge agreed that majors should also persist with psychological health counseling.

Majors received a conditional discharge from Justice Michael Gaffey of the state Supreme Court in Manhattan. This was because both the defense and prosecution agreed that the charges did not merit imprisonment.

Instead, the judge declared that Majors must participate in the "face-to-face program to prevent battering" in Los Angeles, which is the city where the actor currently resides.

Majors had acted as the antagonist Kang the Conqueror in Marvel movies. He featured in a film called Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania in February and also played a role in the TV series Loki, which is currently in its second season, on Disney+.

Jabbari expressed in her statement that both her physical and mental state have been profoundly affected.

During the court proceedings, it was revealed that Majors and Jabbari were travelling together in a vehicle in New York. It was at this point that Jabbari spotted a message on Majors' phone from a female individual, expressing a desire to be kissing him at that moment.

According to the prosecutors, Majors allegedly used forceful tactics to retrieve the phone which included grabbing the person, twisting their arm behind their back, and striking them in the head.

After the incident, Ms Jabbari had a broken finger, some bruising, and a wound located at the back of her ear.

Majors rejected the accusation of assaulting Ms Jabbari and pressed charges against her, alleging that she had assaulted him. However, prosecutors deemed the case to be unfounded.

Majors chose to maintain his silence as he exited the courtroom.

During a recent conversation with ABC News, the performer shared that he was taken aback by the decision of the court and held onto hope that he would eventually resume his work within the entertainment industry. "My prayers are with that possibility," he expressed.
