The first huge TV phenomenon of the year, the overnight success of The Last of Us (which saw it watched by 4.7 million people on HBO) isn’t surprising given the popularity of the video game franchise its based on, but it’s welcome to see nontheless.

The Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey-led drama is a poignant story with an exquisite debut. But this is only the beginning of Joel and Ellie’s story, as their attempt to race across the country and survive will be the show’s central focus. But what dangers will they face along the way, and will the people they meet be friends or foes? Are they going to run into some Clickers, or will Joel and Tess be able to get Ellie to the Fireflies unscathed?
