New Capital Breakfast Show Coming Soon!

Earlier today, Roman Kemp shared with his audience while on the radio that he will be leaving Capital Breakfast after dedicating 10 years to the show. He made this announcement during a very touching and emotional moment on air. His fans were undoubtedly moved by the news.

Addressing the listeners of Capital Breakfast alongside Sian Welby and Chris Stark, Roman expressed:

I want to let you know that I'm not leaving the show right now, but soon it will be time to say goodbye. This decision didn't happen overnight, it's been a huge struggle for me. You, the listeners, have been my family through the good times and bad, and Capital and Global have helped me grow and change. When I first joined Capital I was only 22 and it's all I've ever known, but now I know it's the right time to move on and start a new chapter in my life.

All of you are paying attention - those of you present in this space, including my production crew, namely Sian, Chris, Sonny, and Vick Hope who have all previously contributed to the project. In short, each and every person present is a part of this.

As I come close to finishing my time at Capital in the next few weeks, it's going to be extremely difficult. I have a deep affection for this place and everything about it - the station is like my own family. Additionally, I deeply treasure the bond between you, the listeners, and myself. Our relationship has evolved significantly since the beginning, when I was simply known as Martin Kemp's son. I genuinely hope that you consider me a friend.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Capital. It has been an unbelievable 10 years and being the host of the iconic Capital Breakfast has been the ultimate job. However, after almost seven years of waking up to early alarms, I am excited to catch up on some much-needed sleep and it is now time for me to pass the baton!

It has been an extraordinary experience to be able to awaken countless individuals each day. Being a radio host is the greatest gig around, and I'll definitely miss the listeners and the fantastic crew over at Global. The forthcoming Capital Breakfast presenter is in for an amazing journey, that's for sure.
