The Oscar nominations are in, and Women Talking received nominations in the Best Picture and Adapted Screenplay categories! Will they take home the accolades at the 95th Academy Awards on March 12, 2023? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Women Talking is a drama movie written and helmed by Academy-nominated filmmaker Sarah Polley. It’s a film adaptation of the 2018 book of the same name by Miriam Toews, which was inspired by real-life events that occurred at the Manitoba Colony in Bolivia.

It tells the story of a group of women in an isolated religious community who struggle with the aftermath of a series of sexual assaults by the colony’s men.

The gifted cast is made up of Rooney Mara, Claire Foy, Jessie Buckley, Judith Ivey, Ben Whishaw, and Frances McDormand. So, where can you watch this critically acclaimed film? Is it available to stream on Netflix? Here’s what we know.

Is Women Talking on Netflix?

Unfortunately, you can not stream Women Talking on Netflix because it’s not available on the streaming service. There’s a possibility that Netflix could acquire streaming rights in the future, but that’s not the case at the moment. So you’ll have to look elsewhere to watch this movie.

However, there are many good drama movies based on true stories currently streaming on Netflix that we recommend checking out. We recommend checking out Narvik, Lost Girls, Lion, Against the Ice and The Zookeeper’s Wife.

Where to watch Women Talking

As of Jan. 24, the only place you can watch this film is in theaters. You can check out the film’s official website to see if there are screenings near you and to purchase tickets. It’s unknown when and where this movie will be available to stream, but it will likely make its way to VOD services sometime in February. That way, you’ll be able to purchase or rent the film.
