During the beginning of the first half, an assailant fiercely grabbed Takehiro Tomiyasu's ankle. However, neither the official present on the field nor the VAR penalized the perpetrator, even though some witnesses insisted that the young player ought to have been given a red card. Rio Ferdinand, a pundit, was one of those people who expressed their disbelief, stating on TNT Sports, "Wow - someone needs to explain this to me!"

If the player had reached ten yellow cards before the end of the season, he would have been banned from playing in two matches. However, the player currently only has nine yellow cards and Chelsea has already played 32 Premier League games this season, so he is not at risk of a ban.

This signifies that even if Jackson, who has scored 13 goals, receives a warning against Aston Villa this Saturday, he won't face any penalties as the club has gone beyond the 32nd-game cutoff. This rule also applies to Moises Caicedo, who played throughout the 90-minute match at Emirates Stadium and currently has nine yellow cards.

Throughout the night, the Blues didn't perform their best and ended up with another unsatisfying outcome. Although, they had demonstrated a good performance in their recent FA Cup semi-final loss to Manchester City with a score of 1-0. Pochettino expressed his regret after the game by saying that he felt "really bad". He went on to say that during their bad days, their performance is severely lacking but when they are on top of their game, they are capable of achieving almost anything.

During his interview after the match, the Argentine coach shared that he believed his team had surrendered at a certain moment. However, he later explained that it wasn't about the players' quality.
