Social media platforms are buzzing with angry comments from fans criticizing Nicolas Jackson's tackle on Takehiro Tomiyasu in Arsenal's dominant 5-0 win against Chelsea.

Fans of Chelsea believed that their striker Jackson got off without punishment for purposely stomping on Tomiyasu while playing against Arsenal and losing badly at the Emirates stadium.

Jackson attempted to stop Tomiyasu after he went past Conor Gallagher in the middle of the field but instead collided with him.

Nonetheless, football enthusiasts on social media were particularly annoyed by the 22-year-old athlete from Chelsea when he engaged in an activity that involved diving with his feet raised.

On social media, people began to ask how Jackson managed to avoid receiving a card. Some individuals commented that he should have gotten a yellow card, or maybe even something more serious.

Social media has become a platform where fans express their discontent regarding Nicolas Jackson's foul on Takehiro Tomiyasu (shown in the image above).

People went on social media to express their doubts about Jackson not having received a card. Some said that he deserved a yellow card, at the very least.

A supporter commented, stating 'I believed it was terrible, but it seems to have been done on purpose.' Additionally, a different individual expressed their opinion with 'The player caused an ankle injury and yet didn't receive a punishment. This does not seem fair.'

A few supporters accused VAR of not doing their job properly and being inactive. An irate fan went ahead and expressed their displeasure, saying, "Terrible! VAR is sleeping..."

One fan reached out to the Professional Game Match Officials' official account and asked, 'What reason do you have for this?' while also using profanity.

Some people believed that Chelsea were playing favorites because Leandro Trossard received a yellow card for a comparable offense.

A supporter expressed, "Despite that, Trossard received a yellow card for a comparable, though less extreme and hazardous, tackle." Another concurred and commented, "Therefore, Trossard was shown a card but he wasn't?"

During the half-time analysis of a Premier League game on TNT, Rio Ferdinand acknowledged that Jackson's challenge was dangerous.

He expressed his disbelief regarding the fact that the challenge was not even evaluated by VAR. This season has witnessed many similar incidents, some of them being equally severe or even worse than this one. It is surprising that they were not given a red card.

They would have classified it as a reckless challenge had they witnessed it. It's fascinating. I would appreciate it if they could come and clarify their stance to me.

Martin Keown shared the same opinion as Ferdinand by stating that what happened was remarkable. Keown mentioned how Mikel Arteta received a yellow card later in the game, potentially for disputing Trossard's yellow card, yet Jackson was not even booked despite his actions.

Ferdinand stated: 'The regulation needs alteration in this aspect. Considering a reckless challenge as acceptable is not appropriate.'

During the half-time coverage of the Premier League game on TNT, Rio Ferdinand concurred with Jackson's challenge being 'reckless'.
