We thought we were going to receive a Submariner timepiece with an Oysterflex strap, but that was not the case. To our surprise, we were gifted a fresh, solid-gold Deepsea watch with a design resembling the blue and gold Submariner. Although it is larger, stronger and capable of even deeper dives at 44mm. This watch is made of premium materials and is an excellent investment for diving enthusiasts. Furthermore, it also has a concealed characteristic that lies beneath the exterior.

The Ringlock mechanism and compression ring are made out of ceramic, which gives it a fresh look that blends in better than before. It has a unique shape that makes it less noticeable. The text on the dial is a shiny shade of gold next to a yellow-gold case.

The RLX titanium caseback contributes some weightlessness to the naturally heavy watch. Personally, I am eagerly anticipating the opportunity to try on this watch during the exhibition later today and experience its substantiality and dimensions.

Wow, this is huge! It's a Rolex watch built for deep diving, and it measures a whopping 44 millimeters. Plus, it's made of solid 18 karat yellow gold and has a titanium back. To be honest, I can't give you my complete opinion on it until I see it in person, but I can say that I like the way it appears. Though, I'm not sure if we really needed a watch like this, but who's to say we need anything in particular?

In my opinion, this is similar to when Rolex launched the two-tone Explorer and two-tone Sea-Dweller. The solid-gold Submariner, whether vintage or modern, is highly adored among Rolex sports models, particularly in blue or black. However, this new piece is like an amplified version of that watch with a case size of 44mm, which is nearly the largest that Rolex offers. When combined with the weight of yellow gold, this could easily be referred to as the largest Rolex watch available.

Whenever Crown introduces something new, I make it a point to pay attention to every little detail. For example, in 2022, the Deepsea had a RLX (titanium) caseback added to it, which is something I couldn't help but notice. This year, the same caseback has been kept, and whilst it might look a little out of place compared to the gold, it's still a crucial feature. However, the Ringlock system and compression ring have been updated, and the use of new ceramic materials makes for a more seamless and cohesive look for the watch as a whole.

However, as previously mentioned, this particular watch must be seen in person to truly appreciate it. Keep an eye out for more information.
