Wor Flags special request to Newcastle United fans before AC Milan Champions League match

Newcastle United

Mike Ashley's exit led to the comeback of Wor Flags during games since they concluded their protest.

The pre-game banner is once again making an appearance as a regular part of the match day routine.

Before the first game played at their home stadium during the 2022/23 season, Wor Flags extended an invitation to all supporters to lend a hand in creating impressive flag exhibitions for future matches. They suggested that interested fans could contribute on a regular basis through monthly donations to provide financial support. Here is a guide on how fans can participate.

Before the crucial AC Milan game at St James' Park, Wor Flags is urging all Newcastle United supporters to show their support through physical means, not just financial contributions if possible.

According to the social media accounts of Wor Flags:

On Wednesday, December 13th, we are requesting everyone to participate in BringYourScarf and come together in a vast display of black and white during the game against AC Milan.

We expect that when we add our planned display to 49,500 black and white scarves, we will create an impressive scene that honors the exceptional performance of the players and coaching staff led by Eddie Howe during this season.

A shameful judgement made in Paris is what has kept us from controlling our own fate. We witnessed at St James' the impact of a strong atmosphere on the opposing team when we faced PSG. Therefore, let us take the anger and disappointment from the injustice in Paris and create a similar atmosphere to have another unforgettable night under the bright lights.

Regrettably, because of the limited time frame between Milan and the Fulham match, we won't be able to have a complete stadium presentation like we did with PSG and Dortmund. This is because an extensive cleaning process needs to take place.

Don't worry, we still have a show scheduled (as previously mentioned) but we believe that this is an ideal moment for everyone in the stadium to participate by waving their black and white scarves.

We were amazed by the amazing response to our previous calls to #BringYourScarf and we're eagerly anticipating its return as we support our team to more success in European football in the upcoming year. We're hoping that includes the Champions League.

Therefore, it is recommended to arrive early, don't forget to bring your scarf and let's make some noise.

Let's talk about the meaning behind the Wor Flags "goal." Wor Flags is a group of dedicated fans who create large, impressive flags and banners to support their favorite football team. One of their most iconic designs is a flag that features the word "goal" in bold letters, accompanied by a large arrow pointing upward. But what does it all mean? Well, the "goal" flag is meant to symbolize the ultimate objective of the football team: to score a goal. The arrow pointing upward represents the team's drive to keep pushing forward, always striving for success. It's a simple but powerful message that inspires both the players on the pitch and the fans in the stands. The Wor Flags "goal" is also a nod to the passion and dedication of the Newcastle United fanbase. Even in the face of adversity, these fans remain steadfast in their support of the team and their pursuit of victory. When the "goal" flag is unfurled at St. James' Park, it represents not just a hope for one successful play, but a commitment to the ongoing pursuit of excellence. So, it's a great way to show support to your team and keep them motivated.

The objective of Wor Flags is simple - to produce exhibits at St James' Park that are suitable for this esteemed team. Our approach to accomplishing this goal is as follows:

were shaking in the air, as the excited crowd cheered and waved them in support of their team. The atmosphere was electric and filled with a sense of unity and vibrancy. As the match kicked off, the fans roared louder and louder with each goal and near miss. The energy in the stadium was palpable and infectious, as strangers became friends in the common bond of their shared passion for the sport. The black and white colors of the flags exemplified the unity of the fans, who had traveled from all corners of the country to come together and celebrate their team. It was a beautiful display of sportsmanship and community spirit, and a reminder of the power of sport to bring people together.
