Be upset as Newcastle United fans that NUFC lost but try and keep the toys in your pram

Fans of Newcastle United departed St James' Park feeling unsatisfied this afternoon, with some choosing to leave earlier than others.

In a short span of around 15 minutes, divided between just before the halfway point and after the break, the team that was leading 1-0 was suddenly and inexplicably defeated with a score of 3-1 due to three goals scored by Chris Wood, resulting in a hat-trick.

The defense of the home team lost control of their emotions, but it's the supporters of Newcastle United who are losing their minds.

Today, I needed to use my car, so right after the game ended, I headed to my vehicle instead of going to the pub.

Certainly, I remained until the unpleasant conclusion, out of regular practice.

Furthermore, the idea of Eddie Howe and his team of players gazing out onto an almost deserted St James' Park after the final whistle is not something that appeals to me. Nevertheless, I can always count on the fact that they have given their utmost effort, regardless of the outcome. This includes instances such as their 3-1 loss to Forest, a team that can be considered mediocre at best.

Even if I realized that the match was over way before the final whistle blew, I still applauded the players briefly when the referee signaled it was okay for me to leave, then quickly left from SJP.

However, certain supporters of Newcastle United appear to have a distinctive response.

Being completely sober did not make a difference when I got home and came across the comments made by several Newcastle United supporters.

As supporters of Newcastle United, it's understandable to feel upset when our team suffers a loss. However, it's crucial that we don't let our emotions get the best of us and resort to childish behavior. It's essential to maintain composure and continue to support our team without letting negative emotions cloud our judgment. Let's remain level-headed and show our unwavering support for the team, even in challenging times.

I notice that when something like Forest's defeat occurs, several Newcastle United supporters make use of it to criticize particular individuals they have previously expressed dislike towards. They also tend to exaggerate their response to the situation.

I noticed that the same guys are being unfairly blamed. For example, those being pointed out are Kieran Trippier, Dan Burn, Sean Longstaff, and Miggy Almiron.

Can you believe it? Eddie Howe! Surprisingly, Eddie Howe is being mentioned in the conversation.

There are some Newcastle United fans who believe they have tactical and management expertise and are making comments about Eddie's decisions. They say that if only he had made different choices, like signing other players during the summer transfer window or playing different players in the current game.

The truth is that the team lost together today and it wasn't just one player's fault, or even a few players. Victory and defeat are shared among the team.

To begin with, it's important to acknowledge the efforts of Forest during the game. They displayed a lot of bravery by going after players, even more so than other teams who visit St James' Park. Consequently, they were able to reap the benefits of their actions by defeating a home team that wasn't performing at their finest.

This essentially sums up what happened in today's tale.

It makes me really angry when Newcastle United supporters suggest that some of the current players are not putting in maximum effort. It's really not fair to accuse them of that. While it's definitely okay to critique a player's performance during a game, it's completely unacceptable to suggest that they're not giving it their all. Anyone who has played football at any level knows that sometimes, things just don't click and even when you're mentally trying your best, your body might not always comply. This is especially true considering the amount of games our players have already played. It's okay if they're not performing as well as they used to, but that doesn't mean they're not trying.

Imagine if you are a fan of Newcastle United or any other football team and you have a job. If your boss asked you to work an additional six hours for four consecutive days or nights, on top of your regular eight-hour workday, and your job requires a lot of physical or mental effort, would you still be able to deliver the same quality of work on the fifth day? Of course, these numbers are just examples and you can choose your own duration and frequency of work, but the idea is still the same. We all have our limits where we cannot perform to our fullest potential.

In the same vein, we have seen players being brought back into the team too soon, which isn't ideal for fans, the team, the club, or the manager. It takes time to regain full fitness and to build rapport with other players, especially in defense. Last season in the Premier League, we had the same goalkeeper and back four playing in almost every game. However, this season, we have seen a significant decline in performance with Dubravka compared to Nick Pope, and both Burn and Botman have been rushed back. Despite being 32 and 33 years old, Schar and Trippier have started nearly all of NUFC's Premier League matches in the past two seasons, as well as all six Champions League matches. They have also been regularly called up to represent their national teams, including at the Qatar World Cup.

Concerning those who offer negative critiques on Eddie Howe's tactics and/or team selection, I find it to be absurd and humorous.

Joelinton wasn't a good choice for the starting position, and I don't believe Wilson would have been either. However, Howe's reasoning for his decisions was sound. Isak was exceptional in the center and undoubtedly Newcastle's top player. He secured a penalty and scored it, and remained a constant threat. Callum Wilson was brought in as a substitute when Newcastle was behind 2-1 but poor defensive performance resulted in their opponents scoring another goal within five minutes, bringing the score to 3-1.

Eddie Howe could have opted to begin the match with Livramento as one of the full-backs. However, it remains questionable whether this decision would have altered the outcome of the game. Additionally, it was Livramento who was the most distant player when the ball was passed for the third goal, even though Trippier was also obstructing the Forest player. This statement is not meant to single out Tino for the loss; rather, nearly everyone played a role in the team's defeat.

To put it simply, today's game came down to the moments where quality was needed the most, both in offense and defense. The first half saw Newcastle play alright, despite some people trying to argue otherwise. While Forest posed a threat on a few counterattacks, Newcastle had some good sequences of football throughout the half. However, missed opportunities, poor decision-making in the final third, solid defending from the opposition, and unfortunate luck all meant that Newcastle only had a 1-0 lead going into halftime. Just before the whistle, Newcastle had a promising attack with Almiron and three other attackers making their way into Forest's box. Instead of shooting or passing to score, Almiron's pass was intercepted and in a matter of seconds, the ball was in Newcastle's net. To make matters worse, the way the goal was scored was incredibly lucky as it managed to find its way past Schar and Botman, leaving Wood with an easy finish.

I have noticed that many supporters of Newcastle United are describing today's performance at St James' Park as a "disgrace".

There are several meanings to the word 'disgrace'...

When someone behaves in a shameful way, they may experience a downfall in their reputation or the amount of respect others have for them. This is known as disgrace or dishonor.

To disgrace or dishonor.

The only individuals causing any sort of shame to our football club at present, are the Newcastle United supporters who have exhibited an excessive and extreme response by throwing tantrums and making inappropriate remarks.

Eddie Howe and the players from Newcastle United have really performed exceptionally well in general, and it's only fair that they receive better support from some fans today/tonight.

According to the data from BBC Sport:

Newcastle was defeated by Nottingham Forest with a score of 1-3 during their game on Tuesday, December 26th at 12:30 pm.

Instead of using the numerical values of 45+1, 53, and 60 to refer to Wood, I could express it differently to convey the same message. Maybe I could write something like this: Wood's performance during the game was exceptional. He was able to score at around the 45th minute of the match, and also at the 53rd and 60th minutes thereafter. His agility and precision on the field were truly impressive. It's obvious that Wood is a skilled athlete who knows how to play the game. His fans are undoubtedly delighted with this stellar performance. Well done, Wood!

Newcastle had more possession of the ball in the game, with 62%, while Forest only had 38%.

The total number of attempts made by Forest was 15, while Newcastle took 19 shots in total.

Forest attempted 6 shots that were aimed at the goal, while Newcastle managed 7 shots with the same intention.

The match between Forest and Newcastle ended with a score of 2-10, with Newcastle being the clear winners. The corners of the field were utilized by both teams during the game.

A total of 52,207 people attended the event, with 3,000 of them coming from Forest.

Defender: Clark 5. Defender: Dummett 6. Midfielder: Hayden 7. Midfielder: Shelvey 8. Midfielder: Hendrick 9. Midfielder: Saint-Maximin 10. Forward: Wilson 11. Forward: Almiron It's an exciting lineup with some of the team's key players taking the field. The defence looks solid with Lascelles and Clark providing experience at the back. In midfield, Shelvey will be looking to control the game while Hendrick and Saint-Maximin will bring some flair to the team. Up front, Wilson and Almiron will be looking to score goals and secure the win for Newcastle. Overall, it's a strong team that should give Forest a tough challenge. There are five names from the world of soccer that have caught people's attention lately: Karius, Dummett, Ritchie, Krafth, and Alex Murphy. These individuals are well-known for their talents and skills on the soccer field. Karius is particularly known for his goalkeeping skills, which have earned him a lot of respect from fans and fellow players alike.
