Paramount Pictures hired Keanu Reeves to lend his voice in the upcoming film adaptation of the popular video game franchise, 'Sonic the Hedgehog 3.'

It has been rumored that Reeves will provide the voice for the Shadow character.

At the CinemaCon event, Paramount displayed a sneak peek of the upcoming movie, which included Jim Carrey's portrayal of Dr. Robotnik. The footage showed that Dr. Robotnik was feeling down and not in great physical shape because of what had happened in the previous film. However, he was able to regain his self-assurance by introducing Shadow the Hedgehog, a character that appeared in the video game 'Sonic Adventure 2' back in 2001. Shadow is characterized as the opposite of Sonic, with a brooding and cool persona but with similar abilities to our hero.

Another interesting piece of information to report is that Pierce Brosnan is about to star in the upcoming biopic "Giant" about boxing legend Prince Naseem.

All three Sonic films were under the direction of Jeff Fowler. The voice of Sonic was done by Ben Schwartz while James Marsden portrayed Tom Wachowski, Sonic's buddy who happens to be human.

Reeves has some exciting new projects on the horizon. In Aziz Ansari's upcoming project called 'Good Fortune,' he will be portraying a guardian angel. Additionally, he will be playing a minor role as the renowned hitman in 'John Wick Presents: Ballerina,' a derivative production featuring Ana De Armas.
