According to BFMTV, the fire department in Paris stated that there were no reported injuries resulting from the damage.

The reason why the blades fell off is not certain, but the people in charge of the location say that it wasn't done intentionally.

The Moulin Rouge, a cabaret club known worldwide, was founded in 1889 and is situated in the Montmartre region of Paris.

The famous red windmill has been a constant feature of the place since it first started, though the original building got burnt down in 1915. The existing windmill was constructed in the 1920s.
