Gaza attack: Na’im conveys condolences to Ismail Haniyeh

The religious affairs department of the Prime Minister expressed sympathy to Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh after his family members died in an Israeli attack.

In a statement made by Datuk Dr Mohd Na'im Mokhtar, the minister communicated his dissatisfaction and condemned the cruel actions of Israel, particularly during the celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

As per news sources, the attack claimed the lives of a number of his descendants. Despite global condemnation for their harsh deeds, Israel remains indifferent to the plea of the international community.

Additionally, the Speaker of Dewan Rakyat has made a plea to open up the Egypt-Rafah border in order to facilitate the delivery of aid to those in need.

The Department of Religious Affairs for the Prime Minister sends its sympathies to Ismail Haniyeh. We hope he stays resilient and determined in his efforts to advocate for Palestine, as this message of support aims to encourage him.

Furthermore, he extended an invitation to Malaysians to offer their prayers for the Palestinians, asking for the fortitude and endurance needed to confront the Israeli regime.

He included that our prayers show that our hearts are united.
