Brighton ended their six-game losing streak in the Premier League by defeating Aston Villa 1-0 at their home ground. Joao Pedro managed to score the winning goal in the 87th minute of the match, despite the game being tough and unrefined.
Simon Adingra was the most active player for Brighton during the whole game. It was in the latter part of the second half when he entered the box and was fouled by Villa's full back, Ezri Konsa. This resulted in the referee awarding Brighton a penalty kick.
