Damian Hurley has entered the world of feature films as a director with the thrilling flick, Strictly Confidential, which stars his own mother. In one particular scene, his mother shares a steamy moment with another female cast member. During an appearance on The One Show, Elizabeth, 58, expressed her comfort in filming with her son. As they shared their experience, Damian disclosed that one of his godfathers provided aid to the costume department by smuggling in bikinis through customs.

What, How And Why?

Elizabeth, who starred in Austin Powers and The Royals, revealed to hosts Alex Jones and Roman Kemp that people had made a big deal about her son filming an intimate scene with her. However, she explained that it was not a sneaky, personal moment, but rather was filmed on a set with numerous other people present. Elizabeth emphasized that such scenes are far from sexy and are purely technical, with extensive rehearsal beforehand. Her son Damian had also made sure that everyone felt comfortable, so in the end, everything was perfectly fine and not a big deal at all.

She said: "At around 10 years old, I gave him his first camera and he's been recording me ever since. I promised to become a part of his first movie. Since he filmed me frequently, and I often requested him to take photos of me for my beachwear company, it didn't seem like a big deal to us. The filming process was very fast and low budget. Damian had around six or seven scenes to shoot that day, so we had to work quickly. We didn't have the opportunity to be distressed or worried."

In the meantime, Damian disclosed that because of the limited budget, they had to sneak in swimsuits into the Caribbean, which was the site they filmed at.

The speaker shared that just one week before the filming was set to begin, most of the costumes - around 80 percent - were denied entry at the border and sent back to the US. Unfortunately, there were no costume shops available nearby to get alternative costumes. In this situation, he reached out to his godfather and requested him to bring around 100 costumes to the location. The godfather smuggled them in his suitcase, and it was quite funny because most of them were beach bikinis! Although the godfather is quite sophisticated, he had to pretend that all of these bikinis were his at the customs checkpoint. However, they all made it successfully!

Kemp mentioned that Hugh Grant, who was once Elizabeth Hurley's partner, is one of Damian's godfathers. However, Damian clarified that he is not the person who smuggled bikinis.

The dad of Damian is Steve Bing, who worked as a producer in Hollywood. He passed away at the age of 55 after taking his own life in the year 2020. Elizabeth Hurley had a romance with Bing during 2001. However, they had some arguments, since the American entrepreneur denied being the father of Damian. He said that they didn't have a committed relationship. Nevertheless, a genetic test finally confirmed that he was indeed the biological father.

More From The One Show: What Else?

Adelayo Adedayo and Martin Freeman are the featured actors in the movie titled "The Responder" (Getty Images).

Martin Freeman honored the memory of the recently departed Bernard Hill and expressed his appreciation for having The Responder be his final screen appearance. He referred to it as a fortunate opportunity.

The successful artist, who starred in popular films such as Lord of The Rings, Titanic and Boys From The Black Stuff, passed away at the age of 79 on the morning of May 5th. Hill's last acting gig was in a BBC crime show, which aired on the same day he died. Hill's character portrayed the dad of Freeman's role, Officer Chris Carson, in the program that took place in Liverpool.

On the same day that his passing was made known, Bernard Hill was featured in the second series of The Responder that was broadcasted on the BBC.

"I had a wonderful experience collaborating with him," Freeman expressed. "Although he hailed from Manchester, he was considered Liverpool's finest due to his impressive portrayal of Yosser Hughes in Boys From The Black Stuff. He held a special place in the hearts of the city's inhabitants. To us, the cast and crew, he was a genial, benevolent man who was full of life. He had a delightful sparkle in his eye that was infectious, and I enjoyed every moment of working with him."

It is without a doubt his final showing, which is extremely saddening for us since he won't be present to enjoy the fruits of his labor. His work was outstanding, and it is unfortunate that he won't be able to witness the praise he deserves. However, I take solace in knowing that his passion and love for his work were the driving forces behind his achievements. We are fortunate to have had him on our team.

Adelayo Adedayo stars in The Responder as Rachel Hargreaves, a fellow police officer who works with Chris Carson.

BBC One broadcasts The One Show every weekday at 7pm.

You can catch The Responder on BBC One come Sunday at 9pm. If you missed any episodes from the second series, you can stream them all on iPlayer.

The film called "Strictly Confidential" is now viewable on digital platforms starting May 13th. Elizabeth Hurley stars in it and it was directed by her son, Damian. This information is confidential and should not be shared publicly.
