Hannah Spearritt: Paul Cattermole’s death forever changed me

Hannah Spearritt expressed that the passing of Paul Cattermole has had a significant impact on her and that she believes that things will never be as they were before.

Before her debut performance on Dancing On Ice this coming Sunday, one of the stars of S Club 7 shared a video message about the loss of her bandmate. The message had been recorded prior to the airing of the show.

Cattermole, who was 46 years old, was discovered dead at his residence in Dorset in April in an unanticipated incident. This occurred just several weeks after the ensemble had declared the commencement of a 25th-anniversary tour.

Looking quite emotional in the video, Spearritt expressed: "Paul and I have known each other since childhood and he was the soul of the band."

It's been a tough year since Paul passed away. The sadness and difficulties of it all are undeniable, and there's no doubt that life will never quite be the same again.

Following the passing of Cattermole, the band changed their name to S Club and Spearritt was absent from their UK tour last year.

Cattermole and Spearritt were in a romantic relationship when he decided to leave the pop group with seven members in 2002. He wanted to start his music career on his own, which led him to go solo. However, he reunited with some of his former bandmates in 2014.

In February 2023, it was officially announced that he would be joining the reunion alongside Rachel Stevens, Bradley McIntosh, and Jo O’Meara.

Spearritt is a mother of two kids who she shares with her husband, Adam Thomas.
