The plan outlines Channel 4's approach to guarantee a fair experience for all by implementing better strategies for inclusivity and diversity in their decision-making process.

The plan, which applies to all employees of Channel 4, will aid the company in "remaining loyal to and accomplishing its mission to serve the public in a world that is constantly changing." It will guarantee that as Channel 4 advances in becoming a primary public service streaming platform that is digitally-driven, it will remain a diverse, unique, and revolutionary entity that contributes to positive change.

As a part of the plan, the team responsible for promoting diversity in the company will now be called Creative Equity. This name change reflects the company's emphasis on equity, which is a crucial part of its entire business strategy.

The plan is created with six fundamental concepts, based on the feedback received from Channel 4 workers, viewers, and those who have an interest in the company. These principles target areas of excellence and areas that need improvement. Every principle is reinforced by impactful actions that will cover all aspects of the organisation and bring about change.

Channel 4 has announced that it plans to facilitate significant and constructive discussions on intricate and intricate matters, such as the ongoing conflict in Israel and Gaza. The network will investigate the most effective ways to support the Jewish, Muslim, and Arab staff members' health and welfare, while also striving to establish a more comprehensive environment concerning faith. The implementation of Channel 4's Anti Racism Commitments will continue.

Channel 4 is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in its programming and workplace policies. They have implemented initiatives such as Black to Front and the Diversity in Advertising Award, as well as offering gender-affirming healthcare for their employees. Alex Mahon, the head of Channel 4, has declared that striving for fair representation is at the core of the company's values. Channel 4 has introduced a new plan following the achievement of its diversity goals for 2023. The broadcaster's workforce was composed of 58% women, surpassing the target of 50%, while the percentage of ethnically diverse employees was 22%, exceeding a target of 20%. Meanwhile, the number of disabled employees was 21%, compared to the target of 12%, and 13% were from the LGBTQ+ community, more than double the goal of 6%. The top 100 earners also saw a gender split of 50-50, with 54% of these earners being women. The broadcaster also achieved its goal of 20% ethnic diversity in this group by 2023.
