The club located in the north of Wales, possesses by famous actors Ryan Reynold and Rob McElhenney, achieved the accomplishment of winning two consecutive promotions, following their victory of the National League championship in the previous season.

In November of 2020, Reynolds and McElhenney became owners of the club. They did not have immediate success as the team lost in the playoffs during their first full season. However, in the following season, the team was able to secure promotion to the EFL after a 15-year absence, beating out Notts County and setting a new record with 111 points.

During their most recent 15 league games, they have managed to secure nine wins and only experienced three losses. This impressive performance enabled them to climb to the top three this season and access League One – something they haven't achieved since 2005.
