The WREXHAM Police FC recently concluded their last charity game for the year. The amount raised for various local causes and groups was astounding.

Last Sunday, November 5th, Wrexham Police FC changed out of their uniforms and put on their sports outfits for their last charity game of the year.

The match that took place in Clywedog, Wrexham was played against the Chester Police team with the aim of generating significant funds and spreading awareness for Cancer Research UK.

Even though they lost by a small margin of 2-3 against Chester, the teams managed to collect a sum of £390. As a result, their overall amount raised for the year has now increased to £18,607.

The total amount gathered was £18,994 with Awyr Las receiving a donation of £11,726, PT Centres gaining £3,398, Bellevue FC receiving £1,200, Hope House obtaining £521, Nightingale House securing £541 and the Blue Light Card Foundation earning £618. Additionally, £390 was donated to Cancer Research UK and £200 was contributed to Alder Hey.

After participating in seven matches, they secured the runner-up position in the Lord Ferrers Awards and developed everlasting bonds with players from various teams in North Wales.

The founder of Wrexham Police FC, Sgt Smith, expressed that on the field, every individual has a sense of belonging and is treated with equality. The team comprises individuals with various levels of fitness, and their intent is to bind people through the football matches they play.

The points don't matter much. The most important thing is to spread knowledge and collect funds for a noble purpose that can assist individuals and have a progressive impact.

Many thanks to all who have shown support. We shall return in the year 2024.
