Parklife – the UK’s largest Metropolitan summer festival – announced its stellar line-up on Wednesday and it included some of the country’s most exciting artists.

The Heaton Park extravaganza promised to be a melting pot of the sounds defining 2023 and revealed The 1975 would be headlining the festival.

Manchester’s own Aitch was also pinned to play a UK festival headline exclusive for a homecoming celebration that will only be performed at the northern summer fixture.

Continuing his unstoppable rise, Fred Again was also listed as a headliner for the Mancunian event while iconic trailblazers The Prodigy announced they would be bringing their live intensity to the park for their first festival performance since 2018.

Mercury-Prize-winning Little Simz and a buzz-worthy collaborative show from hip-hop pioneers Wu Tang Clan + Nas: NY State Of Mind – who will play together for the first time on stage in the UK – excited fans who are eagerly awaiting tickets to go on sale.

Speaking ahead of his major headliner spot, Aitch enthused over the chance to play in front of a home crowd.

He revealed: ‘Buzzin to be headlining Parklife this year!

‘It’s been one of my main goals since I started music so for it to be happening now at this point is unreal. I don’t care what happens after this, I’m happy.’

This year, the festival expanded itself to host 10 stages of groundbreaking artists and their anthems that have been blasted across speakers all year long.
