On Tuesday, Tyler Blevins, a popular streamer for video games who goes by the name Ninja and has millions of followers, revealed that he had been diagnosed with skin cancer.

Blevins, aged 32 and known as the most popular person on Twitch, announced on X that he's still surprised by the news he received during his regular skin check with the dermatologist.

In the blog post, the author mentioned having a mole on the sole of their foot that required removal for cautionary purposes. The subsequent test disclosed that it was melanoma, but medical professionals are hopeful that it was detected in its initial phases.

He mentioned that there was another black area close to the mole that was also examined through a biopsy. Doctors removed a broader section of skin surrounding the melanoma with the expectation that it would display non-melanoma boundaries when viewed through a microscope. This would confirm that the melanoma has been entirely removed.

He encouraged his fans to have their skin examined.

He expressed his appreciation for having discovered it early. However, he also urged everyone to have regular checkups for their skin's health.

Someone speaking on behalf of Blevins did not respond right away when asked to provide a comment.

Blevins, a streamer with over 10 years of experience, is a well-known figure in the world of esports and gaming. With a following of 19 million on Twitch, he frequently streams games such as Fortnite.

Ninja gained such a strong association with Fortnite that Epic Games, the company responsible for the game's development, eventually put out a Ninja "skin" which enables players to purchase and utilize in order to resemble Blevins while they participate in the game.

He has become so well-known beyond the gaming world that he made a guest appearance on the famous reality TV show "The Masked Singer" in 2019.

Blevins became a topic of discussion when he departed Twitch in 2019 to jump on board Microsoft's streaming service, Mixer. Sadly, this was short-lived, and Mixer went offline. Blevins, after much anticipation, came back to his original platform, Twitch, in the year 2020.
