Astella Showcase Advanced 5G Networking Solutions at Mobile World Congress Shanghai 2023

MWC Barcelona

Astella Technologies Limited (Astella) plans to present cutting-edge 5G networking solutions at the Mobile World Congress Shanghai 2023. The event will take place in Shanghai, China from June 28th to June 30th, 2023. This year, Astella will showcase a complete 5G network, utilizing their own 5G software and hardware solutions. These solutions are prepared for commercial use and can support a range of 5G applications, including low latency augmented reality/virtual reality, industrial Internet of Things (IoT), and mission critical communications, among others.

The expo features a complete demonstration of the 5G standalone (SA) core network, which is connected to 5G integrated small cells. These small cells have User Plane Function (UPF) offloading capabilities, enabling fast and efficient communication with minimal delay. Moreover, the 5G integrated small cells can operate at either sub-6 or mmWave frequency bands, making them versatile for use in both public and private networks.

Astella is currently broadening its range of products to include cutting-edge 5G networking solutions that work seamlessly with the latest 5G applications. "We anticipate the arrival of more groundbreaking applications like augmented reality/virtual reality and industrial Internet of Things in the near future. These applications require a steady, minimal delay, and even faster wireless communication," stated Dr. Eric Tsang, the CEO of Astella Technologies Limited. "Astella empowers our partners to swiftly bring these new applications to market by utilizing Astella technologies."

During the occasion, Astella also presents the products of our partners who utilize Astella software and have them currently being produced and used.

Spideradio has developed advanced 5G distributed units, along with integrated small cells for both sub-6 and mmWave frequencies. These innovative solutions are built on the powerful NXP® Layerscape® baseband processors.

Anktion has deployed 5G distributed units utilizing NXP® Layerscape® baseband processors.

Introducing the GENEViSiO PAC-01x series, a powerful acceleration card for distributed units in the 5G network. This card utilizes NXP® Layerscape® baseband processors and is equipped with four 10/25GbE IEEE1588 interfaces to enhance its connectivity capabilities.

Introducing the YTTEK 5G mmWave Front End Module (FEM), which utilizes Anokiwave RFICs to support 2T2R and a system bandwidth of 400MHz.
