Shania Twain has announced that she's bringing her rain boots to Glastonbury Festival this summer. She is getting ready to perform on the prestigious Pyramid Stage during the highly sought after Legends Slot.

In June, the famous Canadian country-pop singer who is 58 years old will have her first-ever performance at Worthy Farm. During her gig, she will perform some of her greatest hits. She will be joined by other big-name headliners such as Coldplay, Dua Lipa, and SZA.

"I'm fully embracing the entire experience. I plan on bringing rubber boots, which are commonly referred to as wellies in this region," she informed Elizabeth Day, the host of her How to Fail podcast.

"I'm excited to explore different areas of the festival, but I've been warned about the potential muddy terrain. In case of rain, I'll opt for a cowboy hat to shield myself and avoid looking like a soggy mess as I move around from one stage to another."

She stated: "I haven't decided on my outfit yet but I will come up with a plan."

The famous singer of "Man! I Feel Like a Woman" also mentioned in the interview that she doesn't criticize herself harshly if she forgets her song lyrics. She explained that memorizing numerous lyrics is not an easy task, so she doesn't put too much pressure on herself for making mistakes.

"When individuals sing along with me and misremember the lyrics, it greatly disrupts my performance. Additionally, there are moments where I struggle to keep track of the song even after they stop singing."

When she was asked about her "greatest failure", she provided a sentimental answer. She believed that her greatest failure was wanting her mother, who has since passed away, to be present at each of her shows.

She stated that it is often advised not to desire things that are beyond your control, but events like award shows can provoke such feelings.

It is a great sorrow that my mother was present during the start of it all, but missed out on seeing any of the triumphs.

Twain became an internationally recognized artist in the late 1990s and early 2000s after releasing popular albums like Come On Over and Up!. In March, she was revealed as one of the performers scheduled for this year's Glastonbury festival.

On Instagram, she expressed her excitement and honor for being selected to perform in the legends slot at GLASTONBURY 2024 and called it another achievement to add to her collection. She is already planning her outfit and wondering what songs they could perform together.

"Create history this summer with an unforgettable and remarkable performance of your dreams!"

Twain has been confirmed to play at Glastonbury following the release of Queen of Me, her sixth album, last year. The Legends Slot on Sunday at Glastonbury has seen performances from other big names such as Diana Ross, Barry Gibb, Kylie Minogue and Lionel Richie in the past.

On Sunday, July 7, she will be the main act at the British Summer Time festival in London. Other big names who will also perform on various dates in June and July include Stevie Nicks, Robbie Williams, SZA, Kings of Leon (a rock band), Stray Kids (a K-Pop band), and Kylie Minogue (an Australian pop icon).

The Glastonbury Festival for this year will be held from June 26th until June 30th.

Additional performers scheduled to appear at the event include soulful pop artist Michael Kiwanuka, Avril Lavigne who specializes in pop-punk music, groups such as Keane, LCD Soundsystem, Two Door Cinema Club, Fat White Family and Bombay Bicycle Club, rapper Little Simz, and vocalists Camila Cabello, Janelle Monae, Jessie Ware and Olivia Dean.
