Glastonbury 2024 line-up announced as organisers confirm headline acts Dua Lipa, Coldplay and Sza
It has been announced that Glastonbury 2024 will have Dua Lipa, Coldplay, and Sza as its headline acts.
The Pyramid Stage, famous among festival-goers, will be graced by the presence of country pop sensation Shania Twain. She is set to perform on Sunday afternoon in what is known as the "legends slot."
The team behind Glastonbury shared the much-awaited roster for this year's gathering today, ending the long period of guesswork.
The list of performers for this event consists mainly of women, some of whom are famous singers like Little Simz, Avril Lavigne,Jessie Ware, Janelle Monae, Cyndi Lauper, PJ Harvey, and Camila Cabello. Dua Lipa, Sza, and Twain are also part of the lineup.
Lipa will perform at the Pyramid Stage for the first time. She just recently performed at the Brits and Grammys and the day after she announced her new album, which is her first in four years.
On Instagram, the celebrity wrote, "I'm headlining the Pyramid Stage on Friday night!!!! This is something I've been dreaming about my whole life, but I never thought it would actually happen. I can't wait to perform in my absolute favorite place in the world and make it a memorable night for everyone who comes to see me!"

The upcoming music event is set to feature the very first appearance of renowned American artist SZA, who has been hailed by organizers as the most in-demand hip-hop/R&B act in the world. Meanwhile, Coldplay's performance in 2024 will mark their fifth time headlining the event, making them the first group to ever achieve this milestone. They have previously topped the bill in 2002, 2005, 2011, and 2016.
They are set to surpass The Cure and take sole possession of the record, which they previously shared.
Twain, a celebrated musician from Canada with five Grammys under her belt, has sold over 100 million records and is most famous for catchy tunes like Man! I Feel Like A Woman!, You're Still The One, and That Don't Impress Me Much. In a recent Instagram post, she shared a video of herself getting prepared for the rain by wearing her wellies, raincoat and cowboy hat.

The lineup now boasts a formidable group of women, as a response to the backlash received by event coordinators for featuring only male acts in the top slots last year. The Arctic Monkeys, Guns 'N' Roses and Sir Elton John, who played in his final UK performance, were previously the headlining acts.

More musical acts that will be performing this year have also been revealed. These include Idles, LCD Soundsystem, Michael Kiwanuka, Disclosure, The National, Burna Boy, Bloc Party, Jungle, and Keane.
The list of performers for the upcoming event includes The Streets, Olivia Dean, Paloma Faith, Anne-Marie, Nia Archives, Ghetts, Orbital, Two Door Cinema Club, Sampha, Bombay Bicycle Club, Nothing But Thieves, Sugababes, Fontaines DC, Arlo Parks, and the rising stars, The Last Dinner Party.
Little Simz, who has been announced to perform on the Pyramid Stage, posted the Glastonbury lineup poster on social media. This year's Glastonbury tickets sold out in less than an hour during their November sale. An April resale is expected for any tickets that are cancelled or returned.
The occasion, which invites over 3,000 performers and roughly 200,000 guests at the location, is scheduled to happen between 26th and 30th June.
