Emily Eavis, who helps run Glastonbury, has commented on a report that supposedly leaked the names of the artists that will perform as the headliners during the 2024 festival.

Some time after the ticket sales for the upcoming Worthy Farm festival were postponed by fourteen days, there was a rumor that revealed the identities of the three main artists who would take the stage at the famous Pyramid Stage.

Last Saturday (November 4th), MailOnline published an article stating that Madonna, Dua Lipa, and Coldplay were confirmed to be the three main performers.

It was suggested by Eavis that the next year's lineup will feature two female artists as headliners. This aligns with the criticism received by Glastonbury for having an all-male artist lineup on the Pyramid Stage this year.

Although Arctic Monkeys and Elton John were initially scheduled to put on a show, there were speculations that Guns N' Roses took the spot of American pop sensation Taylor Swift when she withdrew owing to obligations towards her Eras tour.

There were some powerful whispers going around that Madonna would be the main act for next year's Glastonbury festival. However, Eavis dismissed all of it and said it was untrue. He took to Twitter the next day and stated that there's always a lot of talk and anticipation surrounding who will perform at Glastonbury.

She went on to say: "As usual, we appreciate your passion and speculation, but we'll only have reliable updates on the headlining acts in the upcoming year!"

There are some other artists that are speculated to be a headliner, such as Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band. They have a day off during their tour of European stadiums next summer, and tickets for this tour have already been put on sale last Friday (3 November).

During an episode of Sidetracked, a podcast hosted by Annie Macmanus and Nick Grimshaw, Eavis spoke about how Glastonbury headliners are arranged. He shared that the festival was presented with the opportunity to book a very popular American musician.

According to her, she believed that everything was starting to come together, but she recently received a phone call that highlighted the importance of waiting. Typically, their schedules are completely full from July onwards, but because they are waiting a little longer this year, they are experiencing a different outcome.

Last week, a representative of a highly popular American artist contacted me saying that the artist would be available to perform next year. I was ecstatic! We had kept the slot open and now it had paid off.
