Glastonbury 2024 ticket sale moves back by two weeks, to 16 and 19 November

Glastonbury 2024

The ticket sales for the 2024 Glastonbury festival, which were supposed to start this Thursday, have been postponed by two weeks.

The event planners announced that they have decided to change the ticket sale process. They explained that the reason behind this change is to make sure that all people who want to buy a ticket are eligible to do so. They discovered that some individuals who were hoping to purchase tickets for the event in 2024 missed the registration deadline. As a result, they were no longer registered even though they thought they were. The organisers have moved the ticket sale to another date to be fair to those who missed the registration deadline.

The sale of tickets for coach travel will start at 6pm GMT on Thursday, November 16th. General admission tickets will be available from 9am GMT on Sunday, November 19th.

The festival's organizers have not revealed the names of the performers yet. However, during an interview on Sidetracked podcast with Annie Mac and Nick Grimshaw last month, Emily Eavis, the organizer, announced that a female artist would be performing during the "legend" slot on Sunday afternoon.

She stated that the 2024 roster is not yet completely decided. She believed that it was becoming clear, but recently she received a call. This is what occurs when you wait for a while - typically we are booked up by July. However, this year we are delaying a little longer. The call came from a prominent American artist who said they will be available next year. She was amazed and relieved that we held the slot.

The gossip grapevine about who will be the main performers at Glastonbury is hinting at Dua Lipa, who will release a new song next week and an album is expected to drop next year; Bruce Springsteen, who has a notable blank spot in his schedule during Glastonbury weekend in Europe; and Madonna, whose existing Celebration tour would be an ideal match for the Pyramid stage. It's also possible that Coldplay, who often perform at Glastonbury, may make an appearance.

Taylor Swift won't be performing at Glastonbury as she has already scheduled her European concerts for the same time as the festival. Her Eras tour includes concerts in Dublin which coincides with Glastonbury's headliner nights.

The entrance to Glastonbury 2024 will be accessible on the 26th of June (Wednesday) and will last until the 30th of June (Sunday).
