The actress was quick to reassure fans that she was on the road to recovery after she “fell off a ladder putting up a Christmas decoration” last year.

Luckily, the actress saw the funny side of things after she shared her struggled with every day tasks on the evening show.

She joked: “I didn’t realise how many times you need both hands. I don’t know if you’ve ever tried to put a bra on with one hand or tying your shoe laces.

“But I've cracked it, it’s fine. It’s healing,” she told users.

Later on in the interview, Lauren asked if the loveable star had passed on any kind words to her former co-star Sarah Lancashire for her stellar performance on the BBC One crime drama Happy Valley.

She gushed: “I did after the first episode actually and I texted her saying, ‘You are possible – quite literally – one of the best actresses on the planet’. And she is.”

The TV stars previously worked together on the BBC One show The Last Tango in Halifax where Sarah played the role of her on screen daughter Caroline.

Since then the pair have kept in touch and supported each other throughout their individual endeavours since the series came to an end back in 2017.

It comes after Sarah showered her fellow co-stars on Happy Valley with an epic end of series "special gift" to thank them for their hard work on the hugely popular series.

According to The Yorkshire Soap Company, the actress ordered a number of personalised candles for the crew which had "I'm the best copper that ever lived, but Code 11...job done" written on the label.

The inside joke linking to "code 11" is a reference to the symbology that's detected using barcode machines.
